Bike Service

Hey guys, my pregen ex250 just hit 6000miles and im wondering if i should take it in for a service soon?
Is there anything important that should be serviced around this mileage?
The previous owner had no records of maintenance done on the bike and came with no service manual.
Thanks for the help!

Yes, you owe the machine the very important valves' and CCT (cam chain tensioner) service..............among other works.

Check this schedule of maintenance:

I'm not sure how much it runs to do those services but it will be less than $100 if you get the valve adjustment tool, feeler gauges, new coolant, and new chain tensioner parts and do the work yourself....

Just throwing that out there.

You definitely want to do the valve adjustment you will notice the difference.

You'll also need to do the swingarm and unitrak service at 6000 miles.

After a good service on the bike (valves, suspension, sync carbs, etc) the bike runs and feels a lot better.
