anyone paint the black plastics near knee?

curious if anyone has done this or seen pics of it... thinknin about doing it to my bike. Makes the seat look sporty and stand out more. here the only example i found

I wouldn't do it cause that's where you grip with your legs. There would be high wear from constant contact with your legs.

Ya it'd have to be a special paint with LOTS of clear coat lol. You'd probably have to sand it several times with all sorts of different grit sand paper too. Get er' nice n shiny eh?

I did that to my bike when it was yellow. Sanding the ruff plastic was a trick. If you use ruff paper it will fuzz up. I did that and the painter used a plastic sealer then sanded then sealed and painted then. I don't think you will have a problem. I was worried I would scratch them. But found I grip the tank with my knees. And don't really touch them. I also did the dash surround
