Insurance question

My last season was $2000 for the year for my 2008 Ninja 250. I just turned 25, got my M2 and completed the safety course. How much will my insurance go down? I live in Ontario, Canada.

Dont know but my insurance costs dropped by 30% after 24
Probably due to a good driving record and no accidents.

Eta: never was as high as $2k though

Your rates will go down to $1340/year

It should drop to less than 1500ish I'd guess, if not more. What are your riding stats?

I paid that much at 22, third year riding clean record with M2...

I got quotes for $2000 for a 636 and $2500 for a ZX10r if I was 25. At 24 they were $6500 and $8800....aka an ass rape.

This is the worst place to ask insurance questions, majority of the guys here are from the US and they pay a fraction of what we do.

Ya, don't ask about insurance or really pricing for anything. These Americans pay nothing for anything, we get ass raped

Although I just moved to BC from Ontario and things got HELLA cheaper.

I know my car rates went down significantly at 25 ... My bike I just insured, at 38, 2005 Ninja 250 ... $93/year liability ... $130/year full coverage.

What surprised me were the super bikes ... $110/year liability, for every 600cc we could think of. I was looking at a Shadow 750 that was slightly higher.

Mostly because our minimum requirements are higher. Also here we suffer from lots of insurance fraud and then the companies take it out of our pocket.

In some parts of Canada where insurance is government run its a bit better but my province (Ontario) is not and we have the highest rates because we have the most accidents and fraud...

My rates starting at 19 were, $3500, $2300, $1800, $2000. I'll be lucky if it stays the same or drops, because its actually been on the rise as of late...

Ontario also has very dangerous roads and highways. Its no place for young bikers really, in my eyes.

Thanks, i have been looking for an answer for a while.
It really made no sense why you guys were paying 3-4 times as much. Now i understand.
