Took MSF this weekend

Took the class this weekend with no prior motorcycle, dirt bike or anything with 2 wheels except bicycle experience. Passed 100% on both riding and written portions. Now I need to know which paper I need to take to the BMV this week. Also, I get a temporary license after going to the BMV until my real one comes in the mail correct?

Thank you

Good job! Yes, you'll get a temporary paper license to use before getting your actual one in the mail.

Congrats on being one step closer to your license.

Your location says Columbus. Columbus OH?

Congrats! I was in your shoes about a year ago trying to get the MSF course done and all the other work to get my license. I've been on bikes since a kid though. Best of luck with your riding career and as always, stay safe!

Thanks everyone. And no actually I'm in Columbus Indiana. Yes it was pretty cold out on the abandoned air strip with a high of about 50 each day. When we got on the bikes this morning, it was 30 degrees. It makes learning to ride even more overwhelming when you can't tell if you are the reason your bike won't stay running or if its the freezing temperatures screwing up the tiny 125 bikes haha. All in all, it was a fun weekend.

Bureau of Motor Vehicles, and yes, Ohio does. Sounds weird when you're used to DMV, doesn't it?

Took my MSF at fort Stewart Ga. Florida handed me my motorcycle license the same day. I hoped on my 300 and was way different than the MSF bike, but you'll get it sorted out... I still let off every now and then when I think I may be in trouble

Modded ... Did you get your license figured out?

I'm schedule for my MSF end of May, but my understanding they will give you a paper to wave the riding-skills test at the license branch. So, should just be walk in, and get an updated drivers license?

Thanks, Neal

It'll be state dependent ... Indiana waves the rider test, since basically ABATE is the one administering the test anyhow.

Yes I got it figured out. You just take in that paper, and they take your picture again and make sure all your info is right, then they give you a temporary paper license until your new license comes in the mail.(mine took 5 days)
