carb & stock airbox troubles

Last night I attempted to remove the carbs to clean. Ran into issues trying to get them out of the bike.

I have read most of the articles I could find regarding this and will be pulling up the service manual here in a bit. But does anyone have any tips or tricks to remove the carbs?

On the plus side I was able to do some deep cleaning and further remove any extra parts that are not needed for the track.

Build thread coming soon.

Here's how I do it.
Remove fairings.
Remove seat.
Remove throttle cables and choke from carb.
Remove fuel feed hose at carb side.
Loosen rubber boot carbs (carb side)
Remove the two bolts that secure the idle speed adjust screw holder bracket
Remove two allen head screws securing airbox to frame.
Slide airbox back.
Pull carb out from left side of bike.

you no remove fuel tank? I would probably put that at step 3 just to get rid of some clutter, it is after all just 2 bolts and few hoses.

P.S. you removed the seat twice

bad copy and paste

Yes remove your tank if you want. I didn't have any issues with it on.

So... as you can see in my picture above. The seat/tank is not the problem. I did a little digging and may have found the problem that I was running into:
The carb needs to be pulled out from the left side of the bike, not the top.
