Need new battery,

Tried turning the bike on this morning and the battery is dead been looking for a new one online that could ship fast. I've started to have problems with battery last week not enough juice to turn the bike on.

But would this battery fit into my 2008 ninja 250R ex250-j ?

http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00...=ATVPDKIKX0DER

Anyone know of a safe option that can arrive fast?

it says it will fit but the size is 7 x 6.2 x 5 inches. I read most of the posts buts still don't understand if the size difference between 2009 and 2008 matters. from what I understood, the manufacturer just went for a smaller more compact battery the next year.(2009) But by 2008 probably still has the bulkier one.

Go buy a battery on ebay. I ordered an absorbed glass pack battery that said it would fit my bike and it worked perfectly for my old 250.

seemed like a quality battery even though it was a no name

The battery got BIGGER in 2009 but the battery box is the same size. The extra space in the 2008 box is filled with a foam spacer that you simply remove.

I just got a battery from Autozone. Make sure the positive post is on the left.

If you have and Advance Auto nearby, you can get a US-made, AGM ETX9 (the bigger '09-'12 size) for $55 with coupon code TRT37.

It might be a few bucks more than some eBay deals, but you can go to the store and get it right now. I've had my ETX15L for just shy of 4 years now, in two bikes and spending a winter sitting on the cold garage floor. It's still going strong.

I use this battery. Very light and small. Gives me a lot of space left in the battery box.

That's about what I spent on my Autozone-brand "Duralast" CTX9-BS ("Bottle-Supplied") AGM sealed battery, though I traded in my old battery and had to activate it myself to get it for that price. It was GM-YUASA made, which is the same brand Kawasaki uses in the first place. My 2008 model had a smaller battery, so this was an upgrade for me. My old battery was physically smaller and sat on a loose foam spacer which had to be removed.

That's a very nice battery. I like the idea of extra space but at four times the price of the Everstart I just bought it will have to wait.

Does it fill half or less of the tray?

Almost 1/3 of the box.

I believe they do although I've heard these batteries don't work too well in colder areas.
