guy slapped 250 2t dirt bike engine in a pre gen

Interesting, seems like something fun to do. He also has it for sale on craigslist.
wonder what it is like to ride, and how long it takes someone to seize it while engine braking

Vid won't embed right, just click on the "link to original youtube vid" N/M called the big guns took care of the issue!

Seems like a cool idea but the bike doesn't really take off like I expected.

7 hours away but I have a friend who would really want this! He's the one who wanted a street-legal kick-start bike.

I thought about putting an older kx250 2 stroke engine into mine but just don't have the time or place to do such a project like this at this point in time though.

~45hp so it isn't like it is anything crazy for a bike that weighs over 300 lbs + who knows how he has it geared.

Dunno about the KLX, but my '05 KLR250 is kick start only.

By the way, I like electric start. For cars and bikes.

I bet the 2-stroke engine doesn't rev as high as the stock EX250 engine. With stock gearing I would think it would accelerate quicker than a stock bike, but it would top out at a lower speed.
