Clutch problems
Just had my clutch cable snap last week so got the new cable installed with the 2-3mm of play suggested but as I pull the clutch to the bars and push the bike forward in 1st the gear is still engaging slightly and makes the bike hard to push forward. Haven't started it after the break because I'm getting the tank welded and need new hoses ect. Feels as though the clutch arm isn't being pulled up enough but when I tighten it the problem is arises

You may need to adjust the cable where it attaches to the engine.

The clutch cable is #54011 in this diagram: http://www.cheapcycleparts.com/oempa...478cdd6/clutch
You may need to adjust the lower end of the cable. I believe there is a procedure in the service manual, but don't have mine handy at the moment. |

Why is the bike barely able to move when it's in first and the clutch is pulled in. Is the cable to tight or to loose

There will be resistance, especially when cold. Start the engine, put into gear and check where your friction point is. If you follow the procedure you should be right.

just chill until you can start the bike. I thought something was seriously wrong with mine, doing the same thing as yours... until I was able to start the engine, let it warm up.. then the clutch discs separated more and it worked as I thought it should.
The cold clutch, even with the lever squeezed all the way, while in gear, will stick and bind and make it feel as though it isn't disengaging. |

Ok that makes total sense I'll see what happens when I do start it and let it warm up
