Need fairings.... had an accident!
To make it quick my g/f wanted to get a feel for the bike, had it on a very slight slope. She hopped on didn't hold the brake it rolled and landed on it's left side, so all in all the left front fairing is scraped up pretty bad and the upper fairing was messed up in the process also. So was wanting to know if anyone could give me some ideas on what to do. Don't want to leave it alone because I'm stubborn and I've always liked to keep my belongings in great shape. Please help by letting me know where to purchase or if now is a good time to take a different route and make it look cooler in some way.

I'm sorry to hear about the bike Angel - check out the motorcycle-related sellers forum, I know I've seen a couple in there...
how bad is the damage, maybe we can give you ideas on how to fix it - do you have pics?

I've decided to leave my right fairing cracked and scratched until i feel 100% comfortable on my bike. It's barely noticable unless your looking for it. As a rule i don't let anyone sit on my bike unless i'm holding it. Planning to have it repaired soon by a friend with experience in bodywork but will wait till next year to replace it. No sense in paying that much if i might drop it again.

Well at for a fact I know I don't need the the bracket it's more cosmetic damage then anything. I had seen those on ebay a bit ago. That will be the route I take if I can't find any decent shape used ones. Thanx for all the help tho if anyone comes up with one please PM me I'd really appreciate it.

What I wanna know is will these fairings work?
They seem to be the same as the stock ones but a little bit cheaper. I'm going to have to repaint regardless so I don't need a prepainted one. The reason i'm concerned is because normally the after markets ones are in two pieces to include an belly pan. This one seems to need to be purchased separately. http://airtech-streamlining.com/kawiz/EX2502008.htm

Those fairings look good to me, and it does specify "replacement". As far as learning, I'd invest in some shogun sliders. Costly compared to other bikes (got mine for $160) but I refused to sit on my bike as a beginner before getting them on. Also I'm having a little practice toy delivered without the fear of trashing my real bike...well not toy can still get hurt bad on it.... http://www.speedypocketbikes.com/pro...&cat=11&page=1 got the second to last one in stock, green and black to match the big brother |
