vinyl graphics

was wondering how well do vinyl graphics hold up on bikes...was looking at buying something off www.bikevinyls.com....they got some pretty cool stuff there, just worried about about it cracking, fading, peeling off!and then looking like stir fryed ****, and what if i had to remove it and my paint was faded.was going to airbrush but cost to much, i've got kids to feed so spending $100's of dollars is out of question, this website got some fairly priced one's...

if you think i should get set vinly graphics, what color would you get for a candy thunder blue bike, i'm leaning more towards the kawi green vinyl, looking to power coat the rims that color, i just want to do something to make my bike standout among all the others.it's the one toy i have thats all mine and want it to look it's best yah know?

The vinyl will last (with normal abuse) two to ten years or longer depending on the quality of the vinyl and if it's installed correctly. If your bike is left out in the weather all the time you will get the reverse fade. Where the decal was it will not fade and the surrounding areas will.

I totally agree with Bob...

Vinyl does not fade paint, it protects the paint under the graphic. That's why if you leave the scoot out in the sun all the time the surrounding paint will fade while the paint under the vinyl does not fade.

The wife and I run a graphics shop, mostly custom graphics for drugstore rebranding. Post up some pix when you have the graphics installed. I'm thinking of doing something to my scoot..... If I can come up with a unique layout
