Petrol in the airbox

Ok, have been having a look round the bike and after adjusting the rear shock i decided to see how hard it will be to remove the snorkel in person, when i took the air filter out i thought it smelt a bit funny in there, had a look and theres a little bit of petrol sitting in the bottom of the airbox

I've just got the bike back from the shop after getting a replacement radiator and everything else is stock (this is the first time i've checked the airfilter since iv had it from new, 4000k's)
It obviously doesn't seem normal to me so i'm after suggestions

Im not even sure how petrol would get in there (Thinking about it I had just been rocking the bike back and forward and up and down as much as i could to see how the rear adjustment felt) could it have spilt over somewhere and come down?

um... it may smell like gas, but I'm pretty sure it's filter oil you're seeing. the filter will smell like gas because of its close proximity to the carbs.

you're not the first person to be concerned of what they thought was gas in the airbox.

Thanks for the prompt reply Kkim, i'll keep a eye on it over the next few days just to be sure (but yeah i couldn't think how petrol could have got down there but that explains it)
