09 Ninjette wheel bearing removal
Hi!
I've got a set of 09 EX250 wheels that I am trying to get powder coated. I'm stuck at removing the wheel bearings in the hubs, both front and rear. I have not done this procedure before, can someone run me through it by chance? I don't have an EX, I'm just doing the powder and the lady that owns it is out of the country until December. Any assistance would be greatly appreciated! Lee Last futzed with by Swaggeringpagan; September 2nd, 2010 at 04:03 PM. Reason: turning on email notification |

you'll need a long piece of some sort of steel rod. put the rod into the hole in the bearing and reach all the way over to the other side bearing. put the rod end on the other side bearing outer race and hit the rod w/ a hammer. it should come out as you work your way around the circumference of the opposite side wheel bearing. once you get one out, remove the axle tube inside the wheel and remove the remaining bearing the same way.
needless to say, you need to install new bearings when reassembling. |
