Outstanding Shinto Orders Update
first, the reason i asked alex to close the other thread was all the back and forth was really getting out of hand and quite frankly, enough was enough.
so here's the deal, i heard from paul today. shipment will go out tomorrow or thursday at the latest (per paul). he is not waiting on any funds from me. the only unpaid items are the 6 prs of rearset adjusters and he has yet to finalize testing on these and specifically told me to continue to hold funds for this item. everything else is good to go. also, for those that are waiting on huggers (nattygirl, currentsea, bowersox, etc.) paul is going to ship your items directly to you. the reason for this is putting all the huggers in one box with raise the shipping costs on the bulk shipment coming to me significantly. so again, for those waiting on huggers, please pm me your address. if i don't hear from you today i will email you directly. also, as soon as i have tracking numbers for you guys i will supply them. paul also informed me his web access will be up and running at his new headquarters this friday. so any and all emails will be replied to "very fast" from paul moving forward (these are his words). lastly, a request on my part. let's try to keep this thread from turning into what the other one did. if you want to tear on shinto, paul, whatever, do it in the shinto screwed me thread. you guys are entitled to being pissed and by no means am i trying to suppress your feelings. thanks to all, more updates to follow. |

no message from paul about the shipment. he has advised that phone/internet will be up and running at his new building tomorrow. should be no reason shipment hasn't gone out and we get tracking info before the weekend.

I'll never understand Paul's logic. If ur going to the post office anyway, why take one package one day then the others three days later? I can't imagine putting three huggers in their own packages would take that much more time that u couldn't have everything ready to go on the same day.

Not angry at all... I was just saying. Like dyeforever, I will not believe it until I have.the package in my hands. Not even a tracking number is good enough for me.

Just so you are aware. Here in Thailand you get the EMS tracking number on the receipt when you send the parcel.I think that is the same as most EMS Postal Services world wide.
If it was sent normal parcel post you do not get tracking numbers and it will take about 10-14 days to the US Good luck. I hope you all get your stuff. Last futzed with by thaininja; February 1st, 2011 at 06:48 PM. Reason: added info on parcel post |

if these packs were sent the same way as previous packs, they're were picked up by DPX (dhl affiliate) and when it get's to hong kong it will be trackable in dhl's system. obviously, we'll need tracking #'s either way. i will call dhl again later in the week.

Well I received an email from Paul this morning. For sure, my package hasn't shipped. his excuses are such a joke. Alex, I think you know what to do... Paul has been given too many chances. He obviously just doesn't care about his customers. After these orders are fulfilled, no more shinto.

I'm sure the bulk pack would weigh more than the stuff natty ordered. You'll probably hear the same excuse soon.

here is the communication i received from paul:
Hi Vince, The pack went out last Fiday as told you...via EMS Express I got the Pack BACK Yesterday (Tuesday) there seems to be a problem in USA with international Post. This is what i was told: The US is not Recieing Packs from Thailand over the Weght 500Grams. (half a Kilo) They went on to say, They wont allow ANY packs in to US from Japan at all..packs from Thailand not allowed over 500grams. and so on and so forth for man countries. This is untill he 7th Of Feb was told. i was told to check back on the 8th to check and see i USA lifted these Restictions.. The Reason: US Bomb Scare or somthing... I am not happy! i am xtreeeeeamly pissed of right now. Yestereday i drove to 2 Different post offices, no luck, told to go to head office, this morning drove to head office (far) and was told can not. i even asked if could seperate the pack in to many smaller packs. they said no as he smallest part weighed over 500grams... The only other Option is DHL Express. this costs $416 USD. the amount you sent covered te EMS Express. So i guess i am going to have to cover the rest....? (for some Reason DHL EXPRESS is allowed, and only DHL...hmmm) Due to tis issue with US post. i cant even send the Huggers out... I am Serisouly pissed at the moment. this is my name going down now. for nothing. Maybe you can call the US post office and find outwhy this is... On happier note, Internet is up and running in my new place now. so contact will be back to normal everyday. Get back to me asap, let me know wha to do, shold i wait for the 7th? please call post office! Thankyou Paul and my response: well, that does suck. at any rate, you can't ask customers to wait any longer. please send everything via dhl as you have in the past. send everything to me if that is cheaper than your original plan to send huggers to customers individually. customers are expecting to receive their items shortly. you need to post an explanation of the EMS situation in this thread on ninjette. http://www.ninjette.org/forums/showt...240#post252240 please put the customers first and resolve this situation - it will go a long way towards restoring the Shinto rep. please get these out today and provide tracking asap. |

Same here. There are no current restrictions on shipping from Thailand or Japan or any other stable nation that I can find.
This guy is lying. Rule number one: No tracking number = no shipment. Paul has made no attempt to ship anything, likely because he doesn't have anything to ship. Sorry all you folks got scammed, that's gotta be annoying. I just got off a chat with FedX, there are no restrictions of that type in place at this time. If Paul wants to ship something all he has to do is drive it down to a FedX office and ship it. Tracking number(s) will be issued on the spot, he can get it posted here within minutes using this wonderful thing called "The Internets". WELL ACTUALLY THERE IS A BAN ON POSTAL SERVICES OF ITEMS OVER 430-500 GRAMS TO THE USA.
see more info here. http://www.thaivisa.com/forum/topic/.../page__st__125 And it's been going on for over 2 months. Instigated by the USA. So actually this time you have only yourselves to blame. The exceptions are private delivery services with headquarters in the US. wow more money for them. Convenient. Regards Allan |

Well I MAY have spoke too soon. I haven't read this whole thread but take a look at this. Maybe Allan can shed some light on this???
http://www.thaivisa.com/forum/topic/...ms-to-the-usa/ Fedex could still be an option though.

500 grams is a little over a pound. Hell the boxes this stuff would be coming in would weigh that. Something different will have to be done. More delays....

don't know why he chose EMS rather than DHL (all previous shipments have gone via DHL). paul did say the $150 i provided as my "share" of the shipping costs fully covered EMS whereas DHL would be $416 - maybe he didn't want to have to contribute to this expense........
i'll keep you guys posted |

Dubojr1. I do not want to speak for Paul.. he should be doing that himself (especially as he is not answering the phone to me). But the facts are facts.
There are restrictions on postal delivery. Most of the items weigh FAR more than 500grams. It's YOUR CRAZY national security system that has imposed this ridiculous ban. So unfortunately your gonna have to live with it. Of course they could be sent by a US courier company that's an option. But really WHY SHOULD THEY. The EMS system is used world wide with no problems. Get ya own house in order. NOW YOU HAVE TERRORISTS IT'S A BIG BLOODY PROBLEM. BUT IT DIDN'T STOP A LOT OF AMERICANS SENDING MONEY TO IRELAND DURING THE Northern Ireland TROUBLES DID IT. Bloody HYPOCRITES.......and before you all have a go. My brother was there and nearly got killed twice by road side bombs. Regards............. |

So the restrictions are placed by the country specific postal services. BUT you can't really blame them as THEY have to compensate their customers for any losses. So the US can say it ain't us but really lets face it ... IT IS. YOU STATED THAT all other shipping providers are running... Well Thai post is not sending parcels over 500 grams to the US. And as far as i know when ya split parcels it becomes SO MUCH MORE expensive. Regards PS This is from the Royal mail website (UK) USA Start date: 18th November End date: Ongoing Update 28th January 2011: The United States Department of Homeland Security is continuing to require increased security measures for items carried on passenger airlines. As a result, some mail entering the USfrom around the world, and including the UK, that would normally be sent via passenger aircraft must now travel by other means, including ships and cargo planes. Most items, including personal letters and cards, magazines, CDs, DVDs and lightweight packets, will be delivered in the USwithin a few days of posting. However, there are delays of about two weeks for some heavier packets. These delays are currently affecting stamped items, franked items, and items posted under contract, with the exception of Destination Sort and/or M-Bag* items. Royal Mail is very sorry for these unavoidable delays. We have implemented a number of contingency plans to ensure as much of our customers’ mail reaches the USas quickly as possible and are continuing to work to minimise disruption to our customers, whilst ensuring we comply fully with the USdirectives and regulations. So while NOT stopping shipments of items over 500grams it shows that there is certainly a problem.. The UK is the US's main ally in your war on terrorism. And ya still ****ing about with our post office. |

2X the reason to buy in the US or from countries that wouldn't send bombs in packages to us in the first place.
either way looks like you guys won't get something you paid for.. lets not even go over the fact that now he is talking about shipping when this was posted as an issue clear back in oct. on that forum. L O L .. so its safe to say he knew before he took your money that he couldn't ship to you with that service to begin with. Oh how the circle keeps turning. Sorry guys GL I say cancel all orders .. give people their money back.. and get your product elsewhere. /thread
