did a lot of research when i bought mine. you can find slightly cheaper prices ($3-5), but then you have to pay for shipping. i purchased from motorcycle superstore - the free shipping almost always makes them the best choice.
btw, you'll love the tires! |

BT45's@BikeBandit:
AMA= American Motorcyclist Association
http://www.americanmotorcyclist.com/ Membership is (I Believe?) $39.00/ yr. I save probably twice that per year purchasing from vendors like BikeBandit that offer a 10% discount to AMA members. |

I can't help you price wise, but I'd highly recommend the Bt-45 140/70 rear tire with the stock size up front. You'll find it to be much of an improvement, look into it.

well other than just looking better...I'm 5'11 so a little taller than the average 250 rider, the 140 is about 8mm taller I think. I instantly felt that the first time I got on it, it felt a bit higher, obviously now I've grown accustomed to it and don't notice it as much, but any stock 250 rider will if they get on it. This is also pretty much the same as dropping your forks a bit..you'd get the same effect. I actually found it to turn in quicker and stay more stable through the corners, also my chicken strips aren't noticeably larger.
I wore my stock IRCs out at 14000km and then had Metzeler Lasertecs in stock size for about 12000km, then got the Bt-45, so I've been around...I've got a set of 110/150 Pilot Powers waiting to get mounted next. Last futzed with by LoneRonin; March 29th, 2011 at 06:01 AM. |

Its unfair the prices you guys get in the States. Shipping, taxes and customs just negate the whole deal if buying from outside the U.S. The cheapest I could get the exact same tires here is about 250 all in, and our dollar is the same.
