Can I go wrong with just a CAN?
I talked about rejetting my bike and placing a pod filter on it. What if I just leave that alone and put a Slip-on Exhaust or Full Exhaust on it? Would I still have to rejet it? And where can I find an exhaust system or slip-on dirt cheap? Thanks for your help.
I love Afghanistan.................. NOT!

Generally speaking, you can usually add a slipon without rejetting.
With that being said, unless it's been properly dyno-tuned, the carbs probably need some attention anyway; bikes come from the factory set up for emissions, not ideal power delivery. |

If it were me, though, I'd save up and get a full system; I just installed the Area P on my racebike, and it looks pretty boss. |

You are going to get popping and backfiring with any exhaust. You have to block the kleen air system off

Even if the manufacturer say no rejet or shims needed, i.e. mgp growler, the bike will run even leaner and way hotter. Mine was running almost 300 degrees hotter at the header with my growler.

I have a hollowed OEM pipe right now and I shimmed with #3 washers. Used 2 on each needle and now she is way more responsive.
