questions after rejeting

okay so i put the k&n filter on that replaces the factory air box along with the dyno jet stage 1 kit. per the instructions i did everything. install was a breeze and everything went back together just fine. it idles and accelerates up to about 5 plenty fast, but from 5k -7.5k it lags a little and then from 7.5 on up it accels just fine...any idea why id experience the power drop off there and then it pick back up???

no exaust just the intake and the jets..should i replace the old air box and just get the drop in filter or should i keep this pod/type filter??

do you have any idea on what you're doing? have you at least read the jetting database thread before attempting this?

hahaha kkim....yes i know what im doing. ive been rebuilding engines and working under the hood since i was a child, honestly this rejet could have been done with my eyes closed except for i had to be able to find a clear spot to set my beer and cigar down....i found the part about using different jets for this filter set up..but was only asking because people stated that it wold seriously bog down and not go above 5k...since mine was acting different then what i read i asked the question...i just re installed the crappy air box and will wait for the larger jets to come in. as of now the hesitation from 5-7.5 is gone and it just hauls ass...
