Race upper fairing bracket?

Anyone made one yet? I'm wondering if one from a different bike could be adapted to the 250 with modification of course.

Without a doubt. Just wondering if anyone has done it yet, and if they started with an existing bracket from something else.

It is done! I utilized the front two windshield well nuts, and inserted them in to replaceable alum. tubes that slip over the steel mount structure. Suprisingly solid set-up. Total weight is 7.5 oz! Trail Tech Vapor is next. Will probably mount a plate across the two alum tubes for that and the toggle ignition switch.

has anyone seen an aftermarket "upper cowling stay", "fairing stay" or whatever you would like to call it? Have a feeling that I'm going to have to have a fabrication done but I would like to know the options. Have searched for aftermarket kit and also through forums but came up blank.

Just for shizzles and giggles does anybody know how much the OEM "upper cowling stay" weighs? My guess: 1500kg Smoking got that down to a mere few grams! Well done!

Finished up the dash panel, cut up an old carbon motobike skid plate for the plate material. Red light is oil pressure. Dual stage shift lights on top of the Vapor.

There is a chance of making 'smore. I'm thinking no more than $100 each with 2 sets of tubes.

Stock guages are a def. no go. Kinda defeats the purpose? I'd love to make a few for people, but it will take time, so hopefully no one is in a hurry?

Expand the purpose. The OEM ones get tweaked in even minor drops and people need cheap replacements!

Deal...let me know when it's made. Will you include backing like your carbon fiber one? Mine doesn't need to be carbon fiber.

I have developed a new LIGHTWEIGHT race fairing stay for the Ninja 250. It replaces the large bulky OEM subframe (61 ounces) with 6061 aluminum tubing that weighs slightly over 3 ounces.

The tubes are measured and angled so that they fit in the existing frame bolt holes and are attached using the existing rubber windshield grommets. Installation is a snap.

In the event of a crash these have been replaced in as little as 10 minutes. Currently you would have build a bracket for the stock cluster, I am working on a solution for that. The fit all race fairings including Hot Bodies, Armor Bodies as well as OEM bodywork,

Hardware kit includes matching structural tubes, windshield rubber fasteners, an cross bracket as well as all necessary hardware.

THE KOSO TACH IS NOT INCLUDED.

Our introductory price is $79.95 shipped in the continental US.

Go here to order, if interested.

Let me know when you have built one to fit the stock gauge cluster, and I'll place an order.

Thanks for doing this!

Tru dat. Our forks don't absorb bumps all that well. Bike flexes like crazy too.

Great question. The windshield rubber nuts when compressed hold the stay in place. I race 250's in CRMA and can tell you they aren't going anywhere, crash tested several times. Lol.
