Measuring tire pressure when tires are hot...

Having a difficult time measuring my tire pressure while they're cold whether it be lack of a tire guage (which somehow dissapears evertime i buy one) or lack of memory to do it and then remembering only after im out and about.

does anyone know the psi the tired should be at after they're warmed? or would this varie no matter what? (Stock tires.). I think cold the front is like 38 back is 40? (Then again, I feel way off right now. I have the manual, i can check if no one feels like correcting. lol.)

Thanks!

Warm/Hot PSI varies.
Due to different weather, location, how much you used the tire. Etc etc.
That's why cold, is the best way to check it.

No universal answers, but assuming that the fully warmed pressure on the street is around 3-4 psi higher than the cold pressure, and it won't be far off.

It's definitely always good to get in the habit of checking regularly. I'll also point out that just because a motorcycle shop does your tires, doesn't mean they're correct. I got home after my Sport Demons were put on, and the shop had them both near 40 psi cold

Get something like this.

Then you can check the pressure and adjust it at the same time before you leave the house.

Or a bicycle pump Though you'll probably want one that is for mountain bikes and not road bikes. Mountain bike tires are high volume low pressure, where as road bikes are low volume high pressure, so the gauge will have a smaller range and allow you to be more accurate with a mountain bike pump.

Eh, I just use a pressure gauge and double check what the pump says. I don't really trust that thing anyways.

I have one that works with presta and schroeder valves
