250r Performance Exhaust Upgrade

Hey all, hope i am posting this in the right place.
Question is...
What are some of the best sounding/looking and performing exhaust's to put on a 250r?
i know the leading brands are Yoshimura, Two brothers and Vance & Hines.
just wonderring what the Community at large would prefer or had the best experience with.

p.s: i saw a vid of an HMF exhaust on a 250r. it was Nice!
thanks for reading!

I would have to say the Area P exhaust is the best sounding since i have one

i watched a ton of youtube videos and all the other exhausts seemed to high pitched for what i was looking for. the area p sounds deeper than any of the others. it is pricey, but its all SS and a full exhaust, not just a slip on.

Thanks for all the feedback guys!! I'll check out that area P exhaust. Thanks for the YouTube links! Very helpful.

I'm still debating on getting an exhaust for my 250r.
Slip ons are still pricey 300+ but it seems better to just get a full exhaust if your aleady spending a couple hundred.

Area P all the way. Don't forget the jet kit if you're doing the full exhaust too. Might as well add a K&N filter while you're at it if you're going that far.

Yeah good advice, might as well cover all the bases for the full MOD.
I've been reading a lot about HMF exhaust system.sounds awesome too.
It's HMF vs Area P. Id probably be cheap about it and only get the slip on.

Rather save all that money on mods towards a 600.

If the only reason you didn't get a 600 was because of money, then you should just save all your money and not mod the 250.

Makes sense, I just got the 250 and I'm loving it. So I'm just taking it slow and getting comfortable with riding. The idea of a 600 isn't really on my mind.
I feel a new exhaust is the biggest mod and prolly the only I would do.
For now stock!! Ha
Thnx for your reply bro

If you own the 250, why not just keep it in the stable? I have more money in mods for my 250 than I'd probably care to count, but it doesn't bother me cause she'll always be in the garage even when I get another bike later on.

If you are going to get an exhaust for the 250 get a full exhaust system. The prices are near enough to one another to be worth it and they can actually get you some decent horsepower gains. I'm at 31 horse right now which is 5 over the stock configuration. As other members here have said you also need to re-jet after switching to the full exhaust.

If you're curious I have the Area P full Mid-High Mount Race exhaust. My bike is literally THE bike in the pictures on Area P's site.

http://areapnolimits.com/products/Sl...-Race-2008.php

It was used as the test bike for the system and has, as Kerry Bryant (owner of Area P) told me, exhaust #1 that was ever produced for this particular model. They jetted it and dynoed themselves, and fwiw I absolutely love it. Kerry is incredibly customer friendly and knowledgeable in his field. He's a great guy to deal with. If you do make it to hanging out with us soon you'll be able to see and hear it in person

Yeah thats a good point. Financially if I ever wanted another bike id have to sell the one I own and then some. I'm still playing with.the idea of keeping it for life or selling and upgrading. It's a tough idea. But for now im just riding and loving it.

wow that's sick! Yeah I've checked out all the vids and am convinced this is one of the best.on the market. Got strong feedback from the community about this exhaust. Will definetly look into full.system, slip on just won't cut it.

Nice HP gains would be cool too. Thanks for the link and response!

Not to threadjack, or spam this thread - however - we have our exhausts on closeout pricing at tygausa.com. Great quality and proven results.

Tyga's essentially have the same sound as area P, are much cheaper, and you do have proven results. I can attest to that.

If you want a cheaper full exhaust that is close to the same if not at the same standard, hit up bill.

Hope you find the one you want

Gonna add to the pile and recommend Area P. First off, I have one, love the look and sound of it. And secondly because Kerry Bryant is a great guy!

I was impressed at how quickly he answered questions over email. Very professional.

At first I thought ordering would be a nightmare since you have to email or call.. but it turned out to be a very positive experience.
