Speeding sportbike

This isn't a report about me on my bike, but rather with me in my car. I was on I-20W and stopped at a gas station to fill up at 5:40am. As I finished filling up, a sportbike pulled up to get gas. I didn't pay attention to what kind of bike it was except a sport bike. I leave the gas station and get back on I-20 going 75mph in the right lane and hit cruise control. I approaching a car but decided to wait until I get closer before I jump to the left lane and just as I finished that thought I heard a VROOOOM and when I looked to my left, the same sport bike that was at the gas station passed me up and disappeared out of my line out sight before I could say holy shiz. I'm not sure how fast he went but I do know it was so fast that it probably took him less than 3 seconds to disappear out of my sights while I was driving 75mph. If I had chosen to jump to the left lane to pass that car I'm sure that bike would have rear ended me and the rider probably dead. For those that intend on upgrading to these faster bikes, please don't drive like this maniac that I saw on the road. It was around 5:30 in the morning so the mist makes it even harder for anyone to see the guy. I'm the kind of guy that checks my rear view mirrors every 5 seconds even if I'm not changing lanes and he definitely was not in my rear view mirror the last time I checked. Once again, please don't treat the public road like it is your personal race track when you get faster bikes. The adrenaline rush isn't worth your life.

A buddy of mine does this all the time on I-95. Playing chess with heavy traffic going 110-130 mph. Needless to say, I worry about him very much, but he won't listen...

I don't know where do these people find the courage to move more than 10 mph faster than the traffic.

The risks are simply incredible, when moving that fast anyone trying to change lanes will hit you (or you him), and there is simply no way to react on time.

Every day riding/driving like that is just pure luck. Serious crash is just a matter of time.

Very fine line between courage and stupidity...very fine line and many cross over to the stupidity side.
