Hey from South-East QLD!

Hi guys...

New to riding but long-time drooler. Finally convinced the rents (even though Dad was an ex-biker himself) that I should be allowed one! Got myself a green Kawasaki Ninja 250R '08.
Rents were oversea's when I bought it but I sent them a photo of the bike in our driveway. Anyway, long story short... Dad was actually sneakily buying bike gear oversea's because he wants to get back into riding, now that I've gone and gotten a bike. (side-note, my father and I dont have much in common, so once i found out, I was stoked!)

Anyway... they're still overseas and all this happened 3 weeks ago... So 2 weeks ago, I was on a ride on mt nebo with a mate (also new rider) and we were going slow to learn the roads. It was a fun ride, although crap road conditions. We were about 4km's from the bottom of the mountain on the way home again and I got into a seriously rough section of road with potholes everywhere and came into this corner and clipped a pothole, veered into the oncoming lane, saw a car coming, freaked, braked and turned and slid out in front of the car (thankfully missing it by a few meters).

So... a pretty interesting start to the first few weeks of my riding life haha. This is what brought me here... because I need to repair the bike and I've been quoted about $3.8k to repair with new plastics (there's no mechanical damage which I assume is because I was doing about 40km and it was just a slide). But the bike only cost $4k so you can imagine my sad-face upon getting that quote...

But yeh... just a quick hey and background story...

Also, once I get this fixed, if there's any other QLD'ers from Aus who want to ride or have good places to ride, hit me up!

Yeh I was thinking ordering from Tyga performance and setting some time aside with the ol' father-o and see what I can muster

Friends at work say that having a crash initiates you into riding, haha.

Hey mate, sorry to hear about your bike. Just look up new fairings from Ebay dude if it's only cosmetic damage. It will be way cheaper!

Btw Im from The Gold coast and if your ever down the coast and want to go for a ride hit me up.

We should be able to beat ebay copy plastic if:

1) shipping is not too much. The more you order, the less this is a factor
2) if we have stock. Waiting for some stock to arrive at the moment.
