Exclamation I need help right now (blinker issue)

I ordered these http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00389XV1U flush mount turn signals.

I hooked up the wires the exact same way the stock wires were hooked up to the stock turn signal.

They aren't blinking. They just stay on. No blinking. The back stock blinker on the same side stopped blinking too. And the green blinker indicator on the dash does not blink on the same side.

THE LEFT SIDE IS NOT BLINKING.

Connected the wires from the stock blinker to the flush mounts so both were attached to the bike, and it blink-ded (?) But the flush mounts alone will not blink.

What's happening and why.

thanks guyz.

Hmm...are they LED flushmounts? I have not installed flushmounts on my bike yet (going to get protons), but from what i have read here on the forums, for most aftermarket flush mounts, you need to replace to turn signal relay with one that works with LED's. Not 100% sure on that though. Hopefully someone who knows more than me will chime in.

These are LED flushmounts? You often need to add a diode or they won't blink. The stock flasher doesn't recognize the LED's properly, as they have much less resistance than the incandescent bulbs. There are a couple of DIY threads in the tech section that outline the process:

Not necessarily. That one stock light is providing enough resistance. With no incandescent lights in the loop, it no longer works.

Hi Carrie, sorry I didn't see this until today. I'm usually MIA from the computer on weekends. What you need is a new relay and some diodes installed. Since I believe you purchased an integrated tail light and front LED's, you have 2 issues.

1. You need an electronic relay that can distribute power correctly. The stock one is a thermal-mechanical relay and won't do this. In my kits, I sell the Tridon EP34. You can find one at any Autozone for roughly $10. Just run a ground strap on the E pin of the relay and connect the stock harness to the other two pins. Without the relay, the lights will come on and stay on.

2. With 4 LED blinkers (integrated lights + front mounts), you will need to install diodes to keep the power from flowing from one side to the other. Without diodes all 4 lights will flash at the same time.

Here's a DIY on installing a new relay:

No problem. PM me if you need help. I'm more apt to read my email over the weekend/weeknights than threads on the board. I get email notifications when people pm me. I also make and sell diode kits which makes installing them a 10 minute job vs an hour.
