New Rider in San Diego

Hi everyone. My name is Ken, and I am a new rider from San Diego. I passed the safety course, got my M1 license, and bought my bike last week. I picked up a 12 Ninja 250.

Last time I was riding was 15 years ago when I was a teenage living oversea, and had my CBR250RR. I consider myself a total beginner now, even though I had prior riding experience because the riding environment is completely different.

I am down to ride on the weekends so please contact me.

you been down highland valley road yet? its off of pomorado rd where it hits the 15 up next to lake hodges bridge where they found that girls body a few years ago. one of the best roads in the county. careful though, highly technical if you're going quick

I used to practice on Highland for autox with my modded miata. I know the road very well, IN MY CAR, but not on my bike, so I would have to learn it all over again.

The 17yr old King or the one from 2008? I moved to Carroll Canyon Rd right off I-15 in December 2008 and discovered the the murder was living on the same block (Maya Linda)!

nah the one further up north... it was in 05 or something wasn't it? north probably 15 miles from Carroll canyon i think

I live in Mira Mesa. My Ninja 250 is track only. I still ride on the streets primarily for commuting (on a 2007 Triumph Bonneville).

Highland Valley Road used to be my daily commute/stress reliever on my way back home. I even used to do it at night...VERY dangerous! Looking back now Im lucky to be alive.

The Ninja 250 is a great bike

one night going through the hills on the straight before the tight left hander that starts leading up into the back section just past the turn off for bandi canyon, i was in my car and came over one of the little hills and there was a ton of coyotes just chilling in the middle of the road... jerked it hard into the opposing lane and back around... almost spun but somehow kept it on the road. haven't been back at night since then.

The Ninja 250 is a great bike

Mira Mesa Blvd used to be almost my entire daily commute (Carroll Cyn to Mira Mesa via Black Mtn). I thought I'd never be lucky enough to live so close to work again, but now I live right across the street from where I work.

If you were there 2009-2012 then you probably saw me because I was out on my blue bike almost every single day.

where? there's a night night at the hooters in vista off the 78 every other thursday i think. and i think HOM has one on sundays or something

The last time I lived in Mira Mesa was back in 2011. I used to chill with friends at the Starbucks right in front of Albertson's. On every Thursday nights I have seen motorcycle meets at Starbucks. I am not sure if it is still going on there.
