I love how everyone white knights the dickholing riders, who were clearly in the wrong for messing with the OP, whom was going a speed they felt safe going without impeding traffic, in the lane you are supposed to do that in.

If you are driving(riding) and you aren't the one pissed off, then maybe you are the one pissing others off.

If you're driving safely in a manor that is considerate of other road users and you are not causing any harm to them, then someone getting pissed off at you is not your concern.

If your on the highway doing 15mph under the limit, a courteous drive might want to use secondary roads.

You can argue, and I'd agree with you, that CA law is stupid to create different speed limits for different vehicles on the same road. HOwever, since they do, one more vehicle, driving in what is essentially the 55 mph lane, makes no difference whatsoever. You can disagree all you like, but some of us drive in California every day, and I have been driving in this state professionally for years. I know how these highways work, and you don't. |

If it was required to go 70 it would be a minimum sign. I'm curious as to what the minimum speed is on this road? On I94 it's 45.

According to what I can see by looking at google maps, the max is 70 and for vehicles hauling trailers, their max is 55. I didn't see a minimum. If there is then it would probably be 55 which makes the OP meet the minimum. I've never seen a minimum higher than 55 - doesn't mean it doesn't exist, just that I've never seen it.

I was driving from school today going 50 in a 45 and I hear the exhaust of a bike coming up fast behind me. I take a look and I see a gsxr flying past traffic weaving between the cars in two lanes. He almost clipped my front bumper and barley avoided a 5 ton as well. Ridiculous.
