That muffler may be from Dime City Cycles but it's a Cone Engineering unit. Fantastic (if noisy) little things! Great build quality. I run them too....

Might be able to get them cheaper at the source....not sure what Dime City charges.

Hat's off to you, sir. Swapping out the bottoms of the tanks blew my mind. I had a welder repair a hole in my tank (mig) and he kept burning through the thin metal accidentally. It took welding, brazing and solder before the hole was fixed and body filler to make it pretty again. Did you have to do anything special to weld with confidence?

Looks awesome! What type of gas cap is that? Did you end up rejecting the carbs?

Excellent work!
How are you supporting the muffler? I could not see a bracket. |

I had someone TIG weld a bracket to the underside of mine for a mount. Cone engineering mufflers don't come with any so your options are endless! You can also make a bracket that the clamp will go around. Here's a couple ideas from my race bike.
A simple cup bracket from the frame to hold the pipe with a clamp. All painted up. You can see it on the right, it twists 90 degrees from the frame and has a pipe cut in half for the pipe to rest in.

got the tank from ebay was a kz 1000 or 650 gas tank, had the bottom of the stock tank cut out as well as the kz tank and had a buddy weld in the bottom of the 250 tank to the kz tank so it would fit stock and look retro

That is an awesome build. Complete makeover for the little ninjette, and a very sexy one.
