Perfectly possible with the 250.
My bike lives on the 70-miles-per-hour highway....and we both enjoy it.

You can fail it by speeding on either bike tbh

hmmmm.... I am getting a certain gut feeling here.

Apologies if I am mistaken, but perhaps you are under the influence that the 250 is not a highway capable machine? This is quite incorrect and couldn't be more further from the truth. Simple fact is, many riders on this site commute to work every day via highways on 250's without issue. AND think about this, endurance racers will race a 250 at 90+mph, 12krpms for a straight 3 hours solid. Want more? Ask Nevadawolf, who has pretty much ridden her 250 from coast to coast, sooooooooooo much slab. :\

To your question and I know you are in Canada, I know of no state's M endorsement test that cannot be taken and passed on a 250. So I am pretty bullish, that the pavement isn't that much different where you ride.

Good luck and let us know how you do!

SmithSwede here on the board has done multi-hundred mile highway trips on his 250 at speeds over 70 mph.

Absolutely no problem with doing 100 km in Ontario. In fact you can blow past it no problem if you don't,t watch.

Not a problem, I'm on the interstates all the time at speed, and beyond

so i did the M test passed it was not a problem but i rather stick to riding on the roads as the ninja 250 does not have the power at the higher speeds
hopefully i upgrade to a 600cc soon so i can ride on the highway without much of a problem
thanks!

Cool

Congratulations !!!

It seems that your bike has mechanical problems that limit its power output.

I recommend you a twin cylinder 650 cc street bike rather than a four-cylinder 600 cc sport bike.

Congrats! Now that you have your M, why even bother with the 600? You'll be itching to upgrade after a year. I say for a tiny bit more money, go for something in the liter class and be done with it.

I don't know... a Yamaha R6 is probably all I'd need if I found myself without the H2.

Congrats on passing your test! I will disagree with you about the suitability of a 250 for the freeway, though- I had mine out today on the freeway with no problems doing 80mph (130kph).

He can be like the lady in my MSF course who had been riding a Hayabusa for two years but still couldn't turn!

If you're able to turn, you're not going fast enough!
