Return of my first bike
Those of you who've been here a while may remember my first bike was a new gen 250 (named Hotaru). After a nasty collision with a car making a blind turn into my path of travel she was totaled as the front wheel and forks were trashed and frame damaged.
I opted to buy the bike back from insurance and gave it all to my best friend, @Momaru, back in 2013; mostly for spare parts on Perigee (his 250) Then, Paul passed at the end of 2018. As we had discussed many years before hand, I inherited his bike and all of his gear, tools, and parts. Including my original 250. Then, last month or so, I was talking with a local 250 racer (Kumpy Kump - https://www.instagram.com/kumpykump/?hl=en ) and I brought up that I'd love to join our 250 races but could never risk Paul's bike given the sentimentality. I then remembered I had my first bike minus a few parts and mentioned it off hand. Kumpy said he had all those parts already on hand. Suffice it to say: she's back and in racing shape.
