TurkeyDaz 2012

Another Awesome and very successful TurkeyDaz put on by Trackdaz! I dropped a lot of time that weekend and was riding much faster then I ever have before. Made some new friends that happened to also be in A group with me, riding with someone slightly faster then you is by far the best way to improve Thanks @Gurk for driving and dealing with all that BS that we delt with (PS, you know how to drive a car that is out of control ) and @Jiggles for making it out and providing beer and monster

And now for everyone's favorite part!

Gurk's front stand thing looks really useful. I'll look into those at some point.

Kevin, it looks like you get detuned when someone passes you. You could have passes back some of those guys. They were parking in the turns and you need to sneak back by going into those turns.

Good catch I have an issue passing people because I get a little unnerved. Thats one of the biggest things I need to work on, getting more comfortable passing on the inside. And braking, I still dont brake late enough

Space and time are your friends..... And during a track day, you show someone a wheel, they will give it up most of the time.

I race when I can, mostly small local club stuff with lesser tech rules. We call them "sportsman" races around here. Mix of all cc's in the same race and I just try not to come in last. lol If you pass tech to do a track day, your bike is good enough to race. And my budget and work doesn't allow for me to do all the traveling required.

I have been saving since the season ended and will be doing a full schedule of Motoseries events. I would do WERA instead but I couldn't do the travel part unless something changes. With MCRA doing a 250 class next year, that puts the closest 250 grids 3 hours from my home. Which is more doable.

Not having a race ready bike puts a crimp in things too. Begging and borrowing parts sucks. Which is what I have been doing. My own set of hotbodies race fairings shipped today. I have most of the other parts for my own bike already. Even got some Rexbo bones! So around April you should start seeing regular race pics from me. I can't wait.
