Welcome!
I personally would suggest mounting the LEDs to the frame of the bike, if you attach them to your fairings that just means you'll have more wires to disconnect from your fairings in order to take them off. I also wouldn't really suggest the use of adhesives if they come with them on the back. Zip ties are a far more secure method of installing LED strips, the adhesive tends to gunk up and peel in the heat.

Welcome and congrats on the new bike. I would also suggest mounting to the the frame or somewhere inside the fairings. Mount them without modifying the bike so they can be taken off without leaving a trace. Not everyone (me included) likes underglow and it could hurt the resale of your bike.
I woked at a Mazda dealership where a customer tried trading his Ninja 250. He had LED strips everywhere and had drilled holes in the fairings to mount them. He also painted his windshield. My manager asked my opinion of the bike and I told him those 2 items would make it tougher to sell so we passed on it. I always keep my stock parts and return my bikes back to stock when selling. Its never a problem to sell aftermarket parts is tough to get someone to pay more for your bike because it has them. My original reply to the question about "placement for led underglow kit" was going to be "on the store shelf" but you seem like a nice guy. Enjoy your bike, buy proper riding gear, and sign up for a track school if you can.
