2013 Hyo GTR

For whatever reason i really like their redesign for 2013! Maybe they actually did this one right? I am not going to hold my breath though!

Hyosung is in a league of it's own when it comes to build quality!

Granted, that's many leagues below everyone else.

They sound like ****, they rust up to ****, and they have a penchant to fall apart.

I stay away from Korean vehicles, i've had nothing but bad luck with Hyundai and from what i've seen of Hyosung they're none better.

But they do look cool.

And their prices are actually fairly high... 2013 250GTR $4099 MSRP. That's like 300 less than a Kawi 300...

Well if they addressed the
Crappy brakes
Cheap plastic fairing support
Wiring
Issue with fuel injectors leaking
Weight
Cheap nuts and screws
Switched back using a system that can be remapped like with the 09 models etc...
Lower price it may have a chance to recover from the horrible reputation it already has.

Owning a 05 GT650R I can say they are NOT as troubling as I expected, but the issues are there and you really have to keep up with maintenance. Dont think I would buy another one, but since the Hyo HQ is right down the road from my house, I might take a 2013 on a joy ride. They pretty much let anyone ride the demos they have setting out front.

HyoDUNG have earned their reputation & nickname. They're not bad looking but they may as well be made of cheese, maybe then they wouldn't rot as quickly.

Twin discs & USD forks as stock, not bad for a 250, pity more reputable manufacturers don't go that way

I had a 07 GTR 250 felt great sitting on it like riding a bigger sport bike. But it was heavy as hell turned like a cement truck and was a constant rust fight to the end. Rode great on the highway. I could easily and I mean very easily eat its butt up on my ninja 250 all day long. I can say it felt real sporty as long as the engine was off. I would avoid them unless you got a lot of time to clean polish and rust fight. And what ever you do do even slowly lay it down because it will shatter the plastic like glass.

Former Hyosung Motors & Machinery Inc. (Now S&T Motors) started manufacturing motorcycles in 1978; hence, they know how by now.

Cheap machining and materials is just an option to reduce costs.
