What is your idle set at after the engine is fully warmed? Do you know when the last time the carbs were cleaned?

What has changed or been done on the bike lately?

Is this a sudden change in starting behavior?

Testing is always better than assuming.

The only thing that has changed is that I found a leak comming from the bolt holes where the faring connects at the top of the tank. I fixed the leak.
Before i had the leak the cycle ran pretty good and was just needing some minor adjustments

Hmmm....

Maybe you got some water in the gas or something has a jet clogged. It has to be something simple or your need a carb cleaning.

Vac line off maybe? Hard to get a handle on with limited info.

While you do that drain the tank into a glass container, check that:

1) The petcock is working with vacuum applied
2) That the flow is about 2 cc per second or 1/2 cup per minute
3) That the fuel is not contaminated with water (which will stay at the bottom of the container)
