Got some of the black sprayed last night

And a little pinstripe action to clean things up

I got the other side sprayed red and the tail primed, but I still have the belly and tail to spray black today after work.

the pinstripe is where it's at. Can't wait to see the completed set on the bike.

My theory on track bikes is unless you are getting paid to look good, you are only looking good for cameras which now most people have access to photo editing that can make anyone look badass and slower riders as you pass them and they are likely only going to see your tail.

There is one rule for track days and racing...

The faster you are, the more ridiculous you and your bike are allowed to look!

If you're fast:
You can have a bright purple bike with obnoxiously bright neon wheels, with leathers that look like they are from the 70's, and noone can say a thing because you're flying past everyone.

Try pulling that off while being the slowest guy out there.... good luck lol

But if you're slow:
You better have a pretty paint job with some good looking gear, becuase everyones going to get a good look at it as you're put-putting around the track lol.

Almost ready for this weekend!

sneak peak

The Yoshi exhaust is just on there for a test fit. I will still be running the OEM exhaust until I break in the motor this weekend.

I also still need to put on the tail and finish up a few little things like change the oil and put in water wetter.

Can't wait for this weekend

Maybe that's why I have boring white and grey leathers...

Is the relationship inverse as well?

Meaning if I buy an outlandish suit and paint my bike day-glow orange I will go faster???

I am in!!!

Problem with that is doing open trackdays means I am on the track with 600s, 750s, 1000s, and more.

No matter how much ass I am kicking on the Ninjette I can't hang with the expert group.

I confused the heck out of a whole crew of people when I ran a Novice "mock race" on my 250.

Apparently people find it strange when a 250 gets the holeshot against big bikes.

1:25's on my stock bike (minus clip-ons and rear sets)

1:21 on Alex's (Zach's Old) 250, in only a few laps, short session thanks to another riders high side.

Went from stock to, pipe, jet kit, air filter, emulator and springs. All helped make the bike feel way better.

And now with the gsxr shock, I'm really hoping to be competitive this weekend!

You need to let me borrow the rains for the race! Ill give you moneys!

Triumph 675 tail mounted up

Just temporary along with the oem bodywork, just something to help protect it and look half way decent

I'll be switching out the exhaust, adding water wetter, and cutting the kickstand at the track tonight...

MOTOR BREAK IN AND FIRST RIDE TOMORROW

How much modding was required to get the 675 tail to fit? I have two laying around right now...

I had to cut the two tabs on the front so it would slide under the seat, that's it.

No holes line up perfect, but the subframe has the seat latch hole which sits between 4 of the Triumph holes.. so 4 zipties did the trick

solid as a rock!

Never seen that tail mod done before and it looks fantastic. I suspect the side panels don't fit with it on though.

Alright so 1st time out on the 250 was a blast!

Managed to get everything finished up just in time.

I ran the Pirelli Combo, Supercorsa I Front and Rosso II Rear and really liked that set up

Got out there and followed @Knolly around and had some fun!

I had one incident on Saturday, Apparently on Turn 2 I can get a little too close to the curbing

I banged the curbing with my left rearset, rashing up the shifter and peg

I bounced off pretty good but held on and rode it out, the rearset is a little tweaked but all in all not too bad

Other than that it was a great weekend! Had a hard time keeping up on the straights with the stock exhaust/jetting and also felt the lack of suspension trying to follow a few of the other 250's around.

I have Putnam Park next weekend and can't wait
