250 friendly tracks around houston?

I am looking into a job just north of houston. Im trying to see if there are any good tracks for the 250 within reasonable distance. If not, I may sell it and decide on a different bike once I get settled. Looks like college station has a big track complex, but I cant tell if it is better suited for big bikes

I watched some youtube vids of tws. It looks pretty fast, but may be doable. Any input would be appreciated. Also, has anyone been to dallas with their 250?

Check my sig for a map of tracks. I am not sure if any of them are 250 friendly though.

The closest track to Houston is Motorsports Ranch Houston, which I like a lot on a 250. It's a fairly fast track, but technical enough that a 250 can be a lot of fun. Here's a clip where I chased down a 636 in the Intermediate group:

The other close track is Texas World Speedway, which is pretty challenging to ride a 250 on due to the long straights, but it can still be fun. Here's a clip from there:

That first track looks pretty nice, the straight at tws looks pretty quick though. I guess I will keep what I have. I really like the 250. It gives me freedom to concentrate on my form instead of freaking out about scrubbing speed on every turn.

One of the track orgs is trying to get GSS back on the track lists but the owner is very hard to work with. Awesome track for the 250.

TWS is a little better on the mini configuration. You've still got to deal with the main straight of course.

That one is a great track - here's onboard from the last CMRA 250 race there:

Fun track! Scary run off in a few areas though.

Don't know what caused John Broome's accident as it was several years ago, but I believe CMRA quit racing that course for a while. I assume some modifications were done to make it safer.

I think I've heard about that - RideSmart usually puts cones going up the hill towards T4 to show people the direction they need to go over it. If you were to come over pointed too far to the right, there's still a ditch in the run-off area, and I think that's where he went down.

Now I'm getting a little dissapointed. The job didn't come up with enough cash to make me wanna move so now I won't get to ride these new to me tracks.
If I keep running the same tracks here, I won't have an excuse for crappy lap times.
