I used this L bracket. i thinks its a 1/4. i just brought a screw from the under side of the seat to match it up.
photo 2(2).jpg i punched out the red plastic piece under the tail light. photo 3(2).jpg then used this thin plastic sleeve that came with my vest manual. photo 4(2).jpg I attached it with scotch tape in side the tail light pod. The tape nor plastic has not melted to my surprise. still holding up strong. i just wanted something to keep the dirt out. been about 2 weeks or so. Im not to worried. lol photo 5(2).jpg this is how i put on the L brackets. i kinda bent the bracket in a little to give to tail lights a tilt look. photo 3(1).jpg photo 3(3).jpg photo 4(3).jpg photo 1(2).JPG i used the original plate bracket to attach the plate with the L bracket. photo 2(3).jpg This is how it turned out! photo(2).jpg photo 3.jpg photo 2.jpg im still going to fill in under the seat. and more then likely move the lights to the pods. |

@Josh_kcco
Looks badass. Do you have a dedicated white light for the license plate? Because per California Law 24601VC: License Plate Lamp 24601. Either the taillamp or a separate lamp shall be so constructed and placed as to illuminate with a white light the rear license plate during darkness and render it clearly legible from a distance of 50 feet to the rear. When the rear license plate is illuminated by a lamp other than a required taillamp, the two lamps shall be turned on or off only by the same control switch at all times. I got a ticket for it a few months ago and thought i should give you a heads up. |

These bikes look good with no rear fender, but how is it in the rain?

have you considered installing your turn signals to the left and right tail lights to make it look a little cleaner? I wanted to do that to mine before the engine blew and never got to.

Yea I have plans on the future to do so. I liked the smoked ones. I just don't want to risk fixit tickets.

You can pop out part of that red plastic in the bottom of the taillight, and it functions quite well as a license plate light.

what you could always do is show the cop that it works and he won't give you a fixit ticket, lots of people have integrated rear turn signals these days. I'm also with alex on the easy license plate light. You get to break stuff to become legal (except not really) |

You can't even add fender extenders? In the BMW world, it's not uncommon to add to the length of the fronts and/or rears (depending on the model) to keep the bike and rider cleaner in the rain.
