MCRA race 2 on 05-25-2014

This race will have you on the edge of your seat!!! Charles Miller does our announcing during the race. One of our guys overlaid the announcing with the race itself. Not only do you see the action from the POV of the bike, but you also get to hear all the changes of position from the audio. This was the most exciting race I have ever been in!!! 5 guys with close racing and all of us going for first place.

The racing this month will be just the same. I cant wait!!!

Some of things that you did not see on that video. Dre, who was on the green bike, bounced off the curbing of turn 4.

Dre went through the grass on the outside of T2 just as Drew did.

Dre touching Ernies leg as he was entering, I think, T7

Going into 6a I was on the tail of Dre setting up for an outside pass when Ernie, who was in front of Dre, checked up on his speed. Dre checked up on his speed while on the out side of Ernie, who was probably trying the same thing I was. That caused me to check up and go wide with the speed I was carrying. I ended up getting the bike slowed enough about 3 ft from the outside edge of the track to drop it back into the turn. My butt was puckering!!!

While I was in third, we were going through the chicane onto the front straight. It's a difficult turn to make it through when you are on the ass of another rider as you cant see the curbing. I was on the tail of Dre and was going to go for a front straight draft pass. In my mind I was thinking when Dre dips in for the turn, hold off just a second longer and then dip in myself. I either dipped in to soon or to hard. My front tire bounced off the curb and my front tire went hard to the left as it plowed through the turn. I came off the seat and my left foot off the peg. I was for sure I was going to eat it! The bike straightened out but I lost a couple of positions.

Props to DC-Money who only had 25hp! he was able to keep his corner speed up enough to keep up with the rest of us who had 30+ hp

. He will have that fixed by the next gateway. R&D Racing has a race plan which should put us both in front and stay there.
