Yea I don't really like the weird shaped fancy looking exhaust. Just give me a plain round can that doesn't draw attention

I like the new colors (grey and black), the new console and flush turn signals but that's about it. I think I read that the riding position is going to be closer to a supersport and if I wanted ABS and FI, I would have bought a CBR. I'll have to sit on one in person for my final judgement.

It's a passing light. You hit it with your finger and it flashes your high beams. The 650 has it

I like that they lowered the tq even if it makes the bike slower. I'd rather the bike be faster at half throttle and loose some at full.

So, they say that it has wider wheels? I am just curious because I wonder if I could swap them with the 4.5 ready to roll rims for the 08 plus, that way it would look waaaaaaaaaay better that the retarded wheels that come with it stock.

Looks like they will come stock with 140's in the rear, a good enough incentive for me to get Pirelli Diablo Rosso II's on it STAT.

Personally, not a huge fan of the redesign. The current gen looks cool without looking like its trying too hard.
This new 2013 design is too flashy for a 250 imho. I do like that new exhaust much better though, and FI would be niiiice.

The exhaust does not bother me because it's gonna get changed out shortly after buying it. I like the new instrument panel the digital is much nicer. I really like the FI feature. Looks like I may have to get it for my wife it's her turn for a new bike.

The FI version is more smooth than the 2011 Carb version, especially at the low-mid rev

if i was in the market for a learner ninja 300 i would not even look at buying one
just like the learner 650 ninja these bikes are in no mans land. in aussie it will be put up against the honda cb400. cb400 has 52hp at 9000rpm, and 38Nm of torque at 9500rpm at 177kg. with an average city / urban 4.8l per 100kms which the kawasaki ninja 300 in the current chassis will loose hands down in every aspect. KAWASAKI go 400cc inline 4 or GO HOME |

I wonder how different the wiring harness is for fitting the gauge to the J/K generation. Obviously, it wouldn't have the individual L/R turn "signal on" indicators.
Fresh paint? These must be right off the production line! Anyway, I think it had a passing light in some markets before. It had a "city light" in some. Our reflector/collector has a filled in spot in the middle where some bikes have a "city light." The replica light on eBay has the hole exposed. Uhh, he wanted to know how it compares to the CBR, not the previous carb'd version. That's what you said it was set up for, right? Did you get to ride both? Who did? |

I am not going to be going out and buying one of these new bikes any time soon, but Kawi really is doing a great job keeping the Ninjette relevant with upgrades and updates. GOWAN!!!!!! (in my best Steve Martin and Jonathan Green voice)

Actually my 198? Yamaha SRV250 has this feature and I really miss it on the Ninja 250R. When there is enough oncoming traffic that you can't leave your brights on all the time, but still want to illuminate a corner that you're coming into, this little switch is perfect, quick & easy.
The Yamaha headlight moves with the forks so I feel I get better corner lighting with it, then again I think my ninja lights could be adjusted up a little higher... Anywho, when you're coming into a corner at night and start to feel a little uncertain about it, this little switch will brighten things up to help give you confidence so you can avoid making mistakes. All without major movement of your hand. |

Wrap up from http://motorplus.otomotifnet.com/rea...ju_160_km/jam_
First ride review from Indonesian motorcycle news site otomotif.net: Handling is sportier than the 2008 Ninja. Footstep position is a bit backward. The seating position is higher, put the rider a bit more into tucking position. Fuel tank design also help the rider during steep cornering. The new frame is similar at first sight. But the rider confirms about refinement on frame by Kawi, he claims he pass the corners in Sentul circuit with more confidence, and lightly change direction. Wheelbase is said to be longer 10 mm than the previous gen. There is no alteration in suspension as well as brake. The brake is the same as the previous gen, and perform similarly. The rider also mentions smooth low to mid rev. But starting from 6500 RPM the bike pulls strongly. At Sentul circuit before first corner it pulls up to 158 km/h, And definitely able to pass 160 km/h given longer track. He also mentions about lower engine vibration due to engine rubber mounting, and he feels lower heat from the engine compared to the old one, like Kawi claims, but he does not sure how hot it will be on traffic. @taufik-tmcblog, can you confirm this? |
