I may aim to do it more frequently than that, if necessary, though I really just want to find something that doesn't fling off like that. I really don't like goopy gunk building up and getting stuck in everything, then slowly dripping off when hot.

Commuted on it to work. Noticed the mileage looked odd so I had to go almost a mile before pulling over and taking a pic.
You have to click on the pic to really see it... 12,345.6 miles |

No pics yet, bought kit from aftermarketcycles, and also purchased a cheap 415 chain off ebay, its what I currently have on the bike. Going to see how long it last. The chain was $15 shipped compared to $80 for the DID from aftermarketcycles.

**** **** ****. I thought I was going to finish buttoning up the crankcase tonight but I ran into a problem installing a rod one of the bearings popped out while I was installing the cap and got wedged against the other bearing scratching both pieces. FML. Now I got to wait until next week to get new ones and pay a stupid shipping cost.
More scraping gasket maker....

Which one did you go with? I was looking at getting one to wire into my GPX Pro.

I looked at the Wego III and a few others with data logging, but they were getting expensive and did not fit where I wanted to mount it. Koso has gauges that integrate the a/f ratio into the display but I did not want a whole gauge either. The only odd thing is how the manual goes into great depth to explain that the (O2) sensor has a short life-span. Considering car (O2) sensors last 100,000 miles or more, one would think that this sensor could at least last a few years. It also states that leaded fuels shorten its life further....so I guess I'm back to good ole petrol for a few weeks. |

Gave it a bath and then took it for a ride to help it dry off. That's the best drying method, right?!

Had to disconnect seemingly every cable, wire, and hose to get the birdcage (upper fairing stay) off just so I could figure out how best to route my HID wire harnesses. Was forced to go ahead and replace my leaking petcock while I was at it.
Now the bike won't stay on (sputters out eventually). Not sure what I did. |

Goobered up one do my valve shim bucket container area. Knocked the head off my make shift bench porting the head. I bent in the edge and it looks oblongish. Hope my repair doesn't cause any issues. ****ing Mosquitos.

Met friends IRL, added more miles, had friends swap the 250 pipe to the stock 300 exhaust, yanked a few hoses from the CA system and added a longer hose for the new overflow.
Test ride tomorrow to make sure all is well and good for the ride home.

Parts in hand for a prep for races in PA this weekend. Much work to be done and taking suggestions on the belly pan text.
Previous text werd! foshizzle! brah! Thinking "ninjettor.org" this time around but hard to make outta black tape. Maybe save that one for the championship race weekend, since I am tied for 1st . Whatcha think?

I did finally put my air filter in... I'm kinda sad my bike isn't as loud, an doesn't pop like its nuts anymore... But I'm sure it's better for my bike, an my neighbors
I put three bolts in the wrong holes, and pretty much just slapped the fairings back together to get rid of a onlooker that was whining like a girl the whole time I worked on my bike. It hasn't exploded, and the fairings are more secure than I have seen on bikes, I just don't like extra parts, or knowing I got stuff in the wrong spot |

Researched on how to tackle my porting job on the head. Came about learning more stuff about the 300 head. Thinking of swapping to the 300 crankcase lower. Still debating. May swap to the 300 head after some repairs.

Rode over 200 miles, much of it through mountains and canyons. It was such a privilege riding the Crest with a relatively new rider, and so much fun.
