Sad day for me also, Just a little less sad than @NaturalFlavored. Had to put the bikes up for the winter. They live in my heated basement so I will be visiting/working on them over the next few months but no more vroooom vroom!

Not the ninjette, but I got a bar bag for my cruiser. So now I can toss my garage door opener in it, as well as my phone. I'm going to wire up a USB charging port on it for my phone. So then I can toss my phone in the bag while I ride and keep it charged at least.
Charging unit should be in on Friday.

It went ok, it was a brand new circuit for me that I have never ridden before today. I set a lap time goal for improvement over the course of the weekend and I exceeded that goal. Unfortunately I do not have any video. Didn't have time to get the gopro wired or the lap timer wired and didn't want to lose it on track and send them flying at anyone .

Finally got it registered and safety checked after it had been sitting for 6 months. Cleaned carbs, changed fork seals, rebuilt master cylinder, replaced pads. Feels nice to have it back. Will be riding to work tonight.

Snow snuck up on us early this year in NE Ohio. Last couple years we haven't seen any real snow until December. Instead of going out for one last ride, I gave Takara some Sea Foam, filled up her tank, and removed her battery. Getting that out was like surgery. Everything getting in my way and having to have my neighbor as an extra set of hands just to wiggle the dang thing out. also ended up snapping two of the pieces that attach the cover on the one side when I pulled it off. The plastic was probably too cold since it was only 30 degrees. Ah well, she's now in hibernation mode for the next few months.
Thanks again to all here for being here for me through my first riding season. It may have been bumpy, but I look at this way - my girl has 200 miles on her, and many more enjoyable miles to go

from 20 miles to 200miles, Way to go girl! Your doin' it!
She is parked outside right? Sometime in early Jan., go roll her forward a few inches and check tire pressure. Keeping the tires up to proper pressure will help prevent flat spots. Going more in depth. Flat spots are a pain to diagnose but super simple to prevent. Pressure up, and move, that is all there is to it. If you can get the bike up on stands that is the best way, but aside of that we don't have many other options. Flat spots are mainly caused by the bike sitting over time with low air pressure. With OH weather being what it is... a 70 degree day is not so rare in the winter, then taking care of your tires will ensure a good tire start to the beginning of your riding season. Tip: If possible, try to wear out your tires near the end of the season. If done perfectly, you will need a new set to start riding. So then.. you can just park and forget about them all winter. There should be no flat spots on new tires freshly installed. Tip 2: If you don't get new tires and the bike feels funny at the start of the season and.... you didn't keep the pressure up. Then ask yourself this; are my issues only when I turn left? If so... then you know. HINT: Your sidestand is on the left. Coach tip: Rider: My bike makes pretty crappy left turns. Me: Yea... it's April Rider: So? Me: Check your air pressure? Rider: Sure! 31psi Me: Nah... I mean over the winter Rider: What does that have to do with anything? Me:

@csmith12 I wish I had been able to ride more after meeting up with you, but it was not in the cards this season. Especially after having the flu for 2 weeks. I'm happy with my progress, I just have to follow the quote in my sig, put any anxieties to rest, and ride as much as possible when the spring comes. Riding takes my stress levels down to zero, and that is the best therapist I could ever have
As for winter, yes, she is parked outside. I was going to bring her in, but the neighbors have had a few issues in their place that if something goes wrong the landlord may have to come into my place. It wouldn't be good for her or her husband to walk in and see my girly parked in the kitchen I did pick up a pit bull rear stand recently, but I am not about to put that on her outside and leave it. Not in my neighborhood. I will make sure to follow your advice and keep an eye on the tire pressure, as well as moving her forward a bit to prevent flat spots. Thanks

Next time you take the plastics off add grease to the rubber gromets. It will help prevent them from breaking and allow them to come on and off safely.

So cold
Well, this is the third day of riding in the cold. Rode up to work in the snow this morning. Not sure how much colder I want to ride than the 20s. Might be an occasional ride if it gets above 25 or 30.

Looks like it’s been Dec. since this thread was revived. Man, I’m worn out and I didn’t do that much really. Anytime I have to take off my upper fairing it’s like war getting it back on. Anyone else have this issue? Lol
I replaced mine because I finally found one on eBay in good condition and a good price. So I put on a new cluster gauge and upper head light fairing. Most of the work was getting the fairing lined up and back on perfectly. Such a headache. I shouldn’t feel this worn out

Joke if you like but we had riding weather all the way through winter. Due to my work schedule, it didn't always coincide with my days off, but we do have good weather fairly consistently.

Today is beautiful 70 degree riding weather and anyone who has a bike is out. It’s great. What did I do today? Well I went to Wal-Mart and bought 2qt’s of this stuff, best in the biz imo Then had to go to auto zone because they didn’t have the right Fram oil filter. I’m gonna wait til Friday to change the oil though. It’s too nice not to be on the bike today. I also replaced my broken left turn signal, and adjusted my shift lever to lazy. I’m so happy winter is GONE!

Alright so I work at 2pm but got a lot done before work. I replaced my broken left foot peg with a pair of aftermarket blue ones. Super easy to install. Well, except for that damn E-clamp lol. I suggest before you ever take your pegs off to go buy extra E clamps or C whichever you have, for 35 cents a pop I bought 10 and thank god I did because when removing the right side I bent the clamp. I used some needle nose pliers but they do make removal tools for those clamps. But 1. They’re expensive. 2. They were sold out at the two places I called. 3. These young kids have no idea what a C or E clamp is lol. Once I got the clamps off it was easy peasy. The spring and bolt fit like a charm into the aftermarket pegs. And they look cool. Be safe everyone!
