the bolts came from http://www.sportbikebolts.com/ they sell complete kits but someone else on here had bought the kit but the bigger fairing bolts weren't the same sized heads. I ended up just buying individual bolts and just replaced all the smaller sized bolts. One thing is the hex head tool is one size smaller than EOM size but same size bolts.
The V-Grill engine cover came from Wayan in Indonesia, I bought it thru him and he shipped it with the Bryson Hugger GB. |

Race bodywork is lighter, usually made of carbon fiber instead of ABS plastic, usually comes unpainted, has no heat shields because CF doesn't melt, often has no headlight, turn signal mounts, mirror mounts, or tail light cutouts and usually requires you to make your own mount points if it does (some have an outlined area to cut if you want), can hold two quarts of oil in the lower belly pan fairing so that you don't blow oil on the track and take out other riders, etc.

I bought one!
It's a 2011 250r, limited edition, in green. And now, it's time to learn to ride it.

Spraypainted the exhaust off my 2K9. Black with silver tip. Looks current now. I rather not get a new exhaust for it. I like the SS sounds.

Attempted to install new jets and failed miserably.
I removed the carbs, put in the new jets, reinstalled the carbs. Now the bike dies as soon as I turn it on. Decided I'm going to let a pro finish the job, so I called the shop. They don't have an opening until April 20th. So no Ninja until then. |

I slid sideways at 45mph. The car in front on me hit the brakes hard trying to turn suddenly so I had to brake hard downhill, my rear tire started sliding, I released the brake applied throttle and eased past them.

Benji, did you make sure the carb bowls were filled before starting it?
Try starting it now, and see what it does. That's always my biggest problem, not filling the carb bowls enough, so I always wonder why in the world my bike won't start |

Finally met up with another Ninja 250 rider (he was on a meetup group, but I told him about this forum). Took him on his first trip to a historic riding location here in the canyons of SoCal.

I installed my A&L rear-set adjusters, still working on finding my sweet spot, but they've already made my riding posture so much more comfortable and sporty
Also went ahead and put Tri's front cowl LED signal light strips. They are bright and increase my visibility!..so yay! for me My ninjette's got teeth! |

I put it away for 4 weeks again but I went through a full tank 3 days, so I'd say that I got to ride enough for only being home 5 days.
-Took off my Two Brothers slip-ons and packed them up in bubblewrap/other packing supplies in prep for my Muzzy that should be getting delivered on Tuesday. |

Got home to find my Sling Shot Racing gas cap waiting for me. Was pretty late outside but installation took only about 5 minutes. It's a great product, I get to save weight, it compliments my red/black theme and eliminates the need to fiddle with the key
*I realize I'm more susceptible to prankster/saboteurs, now that my gas tank is easily accessible, but...whatever * |

My painted undertail pretty much guarantees that I will never do this, but that's what the local dealer thought I did when they saw the rear tire I bought in for a loose mount.

Hahaha the guy at the dealer had a pretty good chuckle when he saw my wheel. Then proceeded to show it off to some other customers hahaha.
The other people couldn't believe I did that with a 250. Also not very much rubber got onto my bike, which really surprised me because I was expecting the whole inner fender to be covered in it |

Ya he was totally surprised.
"jschatte" has a some what home built trike and its got like a 50cc engine on it and he can spin the drive tire haha. Today I reinstalled the tires onto my bike, and went for a nice 30 minute ride around town. |

Changed the oil and filter for the first time today, was a breeze with kkim's DIY.
Put in Amsoil 10w40 with a K&N-401 filter, lubed the chain afterwards and the bike runs great. Weird thing was that I never really checked my oil until after 2k miles of ownership and when I filled the oil bottles with the used oil, it only came out to about 1.4 quarts when I put in 1.8 quarts of new oil. Must have burnt some oil. |

Did you see the video? Additional details: purchased on ebay, had a shop install it. There's a remote control with 4 buttons 1) on/off, 2) flashing or no flashing (I've been told it's not permitted to ride with flashing on), 3) sort of a "breathing" or "pulsing" glow that gets brighter, then dimmer, and 4) color changer (red, blue, clear, yellow, green, purple, or a setting that will cycle through all the colors). The video has a demonstration of all of those buttons being pushed.
