Having lost a significant amount of fat in the last couple years I decided to re-gear.

Being a cheap Irish SOG I bought it all used, but for the gloves. I almost... almost feel bad that there is exactly $385.00 in gear and parts in that picture.

Alpinestars Spinner
Shoei Duotech LW Elite Modular
Joe R, long gloves
Chippewa Rally boots

80% Dunlop on the correct rim

Not pictured.
New sprockets and chain
Corcoran Jump boots

My oldest best Pal is an early retired automotive design engineer and bike whisperer, he has told me that he is coming over to work on my bike while I watch. Mostly because he wants to check it out and he is aware of my well stocked spirits cabinet.

"We" will change the oil, sprockets, air filter and rear tire/wheel, once complete I have a bottle of chilled Patron and some contraband Canadian brews for us.
Plus, there is always a hammock in the Dojo for the Patron inflicted.

What phone does that hold ?

I want a hard mount that holds my samsung s4 but I can't find anything. I'll probably have to buy a regular phone case and make a mount for it.

Oh and your key is awesome!

Haha, thanks.

The mount holds the s5 in the commuter otterbox. Slip Grip, you can find them on ebay. http://www.ebay.com/sch/i.html?_trks...at=0&_from=R40

Looks like they have one in there for just the phone.

Cool mount, I have the Ram x-grip. I figured if I ever got a new phone I wouldn't have a problem switching out the holster thing, the only thing about the x-grip is that it does this weird swiveling thing. Other than that you have to get over the fear of it falling off from the bike like this! :

The phone dropped because of user error. It specifically states where to and how to mount the phone. That person mounted it wrong. Pictures of my mounts coming soon, but I can't find my card reader . Will edit when I do so.

Do you mean the position he had it in? His phone (Galaxy Note 2) is also extremely thin, giving the mount a lot less surface area to hang on to. If he had it in a case it probably wouldn't have happened.

Yeah, the position he had it in, toward the left, it was too low, the rubber stoppers need to be further up. Also, yes, his phone looks to be too thin, so probably not enough surface area as well.

Here's my mounts:

RAM Mounting Adapter > RAM Double Socket Swivel Arm for 1"" Ball Bases > RAM Mount Universal X-Grip Cell Phone Holder with 1-Inch Ball

I want to mount a Galaxy Note 3 here but my case options are limited by the wireless charging cover. I'm currently using the Bear Motion bumper.

Anyway, more than a year ago I put on folding blue pegs very similar to these and promptly lost the set screw that I needed to lock it in position when threaded onto the peg adapter:
http://pages.ebay.com/motors/link/?n...050650&alt=web

The only visible difference is that mine had a blue peg adapter and the grip pattern was angled straight across the center groove, though they might be sizing the peg mounting pin hole slightly larger because I reported that they were too tight for the J bike's mounting pin (I used F bike parts to mount them to my J bike).

Because I'm now getting it ready to ride again, I finally took them into Lowe's and found that they had a pack of exact replacement set screws in their specialty parts section. Amazing! I was sure that I was going to walk out of there with a normal screw protruding from my peg or something equally janky.

Latest pick up: four pack of M4 set screws.

Thats why I didn't want to use it on the bike. Dont mind it in the car so its ok for that.

Ant that video is exactly why I feel safer with the cradle mount. I get overly paranoid about s*** like that.

Yeah, I have a mount in my car and it uses magnets, so I'll probably tether it and use additional stuff to make sure it doesn't fly off.

Yeah, I want a cleaner look. My idea is to do this...

Link to original page on YouTube.

Buy the Rokform magnet and attach it to the X-Grip as the Rokform has an adhesive (it's also circular, which fits the circular X-Grip), then just attach it to the metal plate that is already hidden behind the case of my phone and voila! Extra security.

Rokform adhesive magnet + my iMagnet metal rectangular metal plate (this is behind my phone case. You can use the 3M adhesive or just let it sit freely. I have mine sitting freely, it doesn't move around in the case.)

This has been a good month for gear. Came across a closeout on a dainese steel core glove, in my size. Literally the last one they had, and it was an XS

My previous pair (dainese carbon cover) might as well have been a brown paper bag in comparison. These are so goddamn beefy.
