Installed ex500 cutch perch and Shorty adjustable silver levers, changed oil and filter w/t6. Changing to flushmounts tomorrow and taking her for a small 1/4 mile drive up and down my street. Got insurance but still need to get to DMV to register and get my test done. :-)

Took it out for a mini-ride, where I attempted to kick the winds ass. I veered off a little on the shoulder, but saved it fine. I did a lot better this time around.

Started her for the first time!!!
So far my work has paid off (thank you to those who provided guidance and suggestions). I just need to adjust the idle and probably lube the cables a bit. |

Side note....I tried putting sun star sprocket on with the emblem on the inside with the protrusion facing in but would not go on that way. So I had to put on with emblem facing out, hope that doesn't mess anything up

Your supposed to take the old and new sprokets and lay them on a flat surface and compare the teeth offset, if the new sprocket doesn't match try flipping it. If the new sprocket doesn't match the OEM in ether direction then its not right. I'm sure your just fine though

Typical ride it to work plus admiring my rear road winner tire. This thing has 1800 miles on it with three 200+ mile canyon riders at a very fast pace and you can hardly see any where
My front on the other hand is in its last leg, I might get another 500 miles out of it but ill be easing off in the corners a bit. |

How do you guys get so much out of your RoadWinners?
I got like 5000 or so before the rear hit the wear bars.

I did some gymkhana drills on our 250 last night after getting tired of having my right wrist jammed into the gas tank repeatedly on my 600 when I'm turning at close to full lock. Man I need some bar risers.
Forgot how easily the 250 turns. Also forgot how much I had to crank the throttle for power to kick in while I'm leaned over. Fun stuff. |

I love my Chinese shorty levers!
Yesterday I shimmed the needles and removed the snorkel. Today I cleaned the chain and rode around for some errands at lunch.

All I need to do still is tape of lights, tape wheel weights, use RTV on the oil fill caps and the oil drain bolt, pull some fuses, remove the passenger pegs, and put the fairings back on, and she's ready for track time this weekend!!! |

Put on a new set of Pirelli Sport Demons. Was surprised that the (miniscule) extra ride height makes a difference. Seems to tip into corners a little quicker. I'll have to put a few miles on her to get used to the slight change in CoG.

haha ive only put 100miles on it and thats as far as my motorcycle experience goes besides the driving school but my friend says its not normal as im accelerating climbing speed ill feel a tremble throughtout the whole bike like if i was caught in a huge crosswind or something and its on the throttle and both hands on the bars. Bike has fairly new Dunlop GT501s which seller told me were put on last season and I checked tire pressure the very first time I rode it set it to what the sticker on the swing arm recommends.

Didn't "do" anything to mine today, but did ride it up to the shop to trade with my brother for the weekend. Gonna hang onto his 95 VFR750 for a few days.

Decided I am going to keep my "Tron" wheels so took off the glow in the dark tape and painted the strip on instead. Hopefully the paint holds up better than the tape has. I really do like the effect.
