Thumbs up Greetings from the far south!

Hello to everyone, I'm from Argentina, owner of a 6 month old Ninja 250 Red/Black. I've already done 7500 miles on it I use it all the time. I have my beloved Honda CBF 250 at the back of my yard, covered, but the cover's full of dust.
Even if I've to go a few blocks, I ride it. I just love to turn on that engine...
Actually waiting for the 2013 model, that is terrific, but I have a feeling that the new model has lost the Ninja's own personality. The new one is something more like a ziped ZX10

Well, as a newcomer to this bike and as my first Kawi I think that as a form of introduction I will post my pros and cons regarding the ninja.

PROS:
Engine. Japanese Nerve. A guided accurate missile. (at least from 0-70 mph)
Frame: Excellent braking cyclistics. Excellent and Agile Handling both in town as in open road. Traffic dodger. This is IMHO the best feature of the bike.
Design: Gorgeous yet simplistic. I always find someone staring at it when I leave it parked on the street.

CONS:
Paint quality. I have scratched the tank's paint in two places with two quarter coins fallen from the scary altitude of 4 inches (when paying toll fee). Paint quality is garbage. A mere layer of paint and a spit of lacquer. My budget Honda CBF has a far better paint quality.
Tires: This is simple, I've changed them with only 300 miles. IRC tires are some kind of thai joke fitted on an ENKEI wheel. Rear rubber size. This bike needs as minimum 140.
Fuel consumption: Thirsty bike. Go over 70 miles and it transforms in an Octane drunkard.
Carbs in cold weather: It takes way too long to reach a good operating temperature. I leave the choke engaged for a mile or two in winter.
Bike in hot weather: If you are riding in summer, and get stucked in traffic, hope you're wearing your swimming pants.

I think that its a great bike, but I have had some problems I'll post later to see if someone can help me.
See ya all!!!
Safe rides
