LittleRedNinjettes 300 mods n' stuff (lots of pics)
So, i thought i'd make a thread with all the stuff i'm doing and have done to my 300.
Here we go: Day 1, picked up and on the way home! Things she already had: Two brothers carbon slip on. ****** frame sliders (i found out just how ****** later...) Green LEDs Extension blocks for the mirrors. First thing to go on was the lowering kit. Use the same Roaring Toyz blocks i have laying around from the 250 and ordered the links to match with a adjustable kickstand. Not much to show ith that. Stickers! Green bolts for the pipe. I forget what i was doing this day but somehow the kickstand gave out. Insurance covers all the repairs. Thank god Some of the things they put on the quote just didn't seem worth repairing so went with some upgrades instead. First and foremost was the sliders that had bent like paper. Nor have the Shogun "no cut" sliders. Look so much better then the old ones. And went with the double bubble windshield. Somehow the stock one cracked. And when i picked her up my boyfriend surprised me by having them put this on: Next up, grips and levers! Love this pic! Anyway, not long after that got a Saddlemen low seat: I'll skip the botched phone mounts and go rite the the winner. And i think that brings us up to today.... I may have forgotten something but meh... i can add it later if i did. So back to today: Install a MD integrated tail light and fender eliminator. Really like the eliminator, looks clean and want on nicely. And my "mount" for the LED relay. So that where she stand now. To be continued....

Thanks
Changed out my grips today: And i wanted my hooks base so we modified the bracket to work with the eliminator kit. as it turns out the holes for the bracket are the same spacing as the rear most fender bolts:

A friend was showing me his stable of old and wonderful bikes. As he was starting them up to let me hear all the different sounds, I caught sight of the keys.
They had screwdriver handles! He couldn't figured out why I was laughing so hard until I explained about yours.

I didnt do it myself but you just need a stubby screwdriver a torch and q-bond (i think thats what he used)
You got to hear the shaft of the screwdriver up till you can pull it out of the handle and then with the q-bond shove the key in. after you trim the rubber off the key that is. I can get more detail from him later on how he made them (he has on on his Buell too).

Seat cowl! Had to do some modification to the passenger seat so i can easily switch between the cowl and the seat with my bag attached.
The 300 cowls are a lot better fit the the newgen cowls. I'll make a DIY on what we did in case someone else is nuts like me. I'll like it in this post when its done. Edit: Linky! https://www.ninjette.org/forums/showthread.php?t=191007

The use of the stove is.... interesting...
He just used a map gas torch. Heat shaft till it pulls out easy and the shove the key in before it cools. Bet the house stunk when he was done.

I was thinking something to cover the entire opening. I'm guessing I'll have to make something but I'm ok with that. Just have to hash out what kind of materials and mounting hardware to go with.

This is on my list as well. I look at the 636 at the dealership every time I'm there just to look at the headlight. It's an expensive, but sweet looking mod that's for sure. I heard the lens do a better job of throwing light then the stock reflectors.

I'm hoping to find one off a wrecked bike at some point. Maybe in a year or so. CL and ebay may have something pop up. Quote:
I found it a bit cheaper on amazon. You just have to cut the bolt down a bit, its to long as it comes.
