Friction zone

is it me or it is more difficult to find the friction zone on a brand new bike (2016 ninja 300 abs with 1 mile on the odometer, and now 4). yes, i'm a new rider but i did not have any problem with finding the friction zone on older bikes. i actually was able to ride the clutch and pass that part of the motorcycle training. could it be the slipper clutch?

any idea or help will be greatly appreciated. thanks!

I'm no expert, and can only speak from personal experience, but I have not had a more difficult time with newer bikes than older bikes. The only thing I could think of is that an older, more worn-in bike, has a more worn-in clutch. It becomes nigh impossible to stall a busted, worn-out clutch, so maybe that's why you've found older bikes easier to ride?

The clutch cable is adjustable. The first time I hopped on Pearl (my better half's Ninja 300) I was shocked at how awkward it felt. We played with the tension and got a much better feeling out of it more similar to what I have in Saturn.

Welcome!
Nothing to do with the slipper mechanism.
It is normal; parts need a break in time, keep riding and have faith, the engine and the rider will improve.
