Smile Hello, I am a new Ninja rider

Hi guys, my name is Alexander from Israel I bought a second hand 09' black Kawasaki ninja 250r with 34000km already. I believe Kawasaki made a good engine so it'll survive even more than 100,000 km Very glad to find a worldwide community, feels great to take a part. I will upload pics of my bike soon.

Where in Israel are you from? I grew up in Rehovot. I know the 250's are considered pretty fancy bikes back home so congratulations. I'm sure you will love it.

Unlike here, where I've never seen anyone take any risks whatsoever.

I live in Kiryat-Gat, a very small city that hasn't any places to go lol 250s are fancy but we don't have bikes to choose. Only these are available for A1 category: Ninja 250R, CBR250 These two are expensive, GT250R this one cheap but as everybody say, unreliable. And some old Bandit 400, XJ400.

Just seemed to me when I was there for two weeks a couple of years ago that lane splitting and other risky behaviors in intersections are the norm. I felt much much safer driving in Chicago than I did in Tel Aviv. Just my opinion... don't take it personally.

You're right. People do splitting lanes BUT it's all good.

No offense taken at all. I jumped to the conclusion that you hadn't been there and I was trying to both be funny and make a point about not assuming things based on rumor/hearsay. My apologies.

I have never been to Israel so you have a better take on the riding culture there than I do, obviously.

Hi Alexander: I just traded my '09 with 38000 kms on it. I think your new bike will work great if it has received regular care. My '09 engine feels more powerful than ever and everything is working fine on it. I take long trips in remote areas of Canada so I feel the need for a newer bike, so I traded for a new ninja 250. Otherwise I would ride this one for a long time. Follow the maint. schedule and this setup will last you a long time. bill in Ontario Canada

I believe I will trade mine too in a future but I think I'll keep my baby ninja for about two or three years. Hopefully next year I'll become a student, I want to start work on my BSc in the University, so the ninja would be perfect for fast maneuvering through the tight schedule

Here's a pic of mine. Ninja and me. Excuse me for the crappy quality, iPhone sucks (That's why I have SGSII) And I know it's not a modeling, so excuse me again for actually presenting myself while showing the bike

P.S.
I don't look Israeli because I'm Russian

Alright! I actually prefer the look of the chrome muffler. They changed it to a black matt colour between '09 and '11. Well, enjoy your ride. It will be quite economical to ride... good mileage and probably cheap insurance.

I also think a chrome muffler looks better but on a black color. I bought this bike because it's reliable and it was first hand, I wasn't looking for year or a color. But yea they did change after 09' and the good part is, they all injected in Israel. Without chock.
