I never said we would all still be together after lap one but that's what lap one seems to be like every time. We'll have to wait and see, still a sick photo though. Who's in it? you, matt, bell, frank, ???

Speaking of T5, I'm still bummed I never got to see bell's footage from his insane run through T5 last october. Dude passed 2-3 of us on the inside then switched to the outside in between two other racers to pass on the outside going into T6

Kevin Kahn took out one of bells 300s. Yea so far no one can match him through there for some reason haha.... By the way... I'm gonna start looking for a 300... No way for the 250 to hang

Ah, that's a shame. I know the 250 can hang with some serious power mods but I feel that. Especially at NCBike where you're throttle wide open for something like 60-70% of the track. Good luck finding a solid 300 to race

Wouldn't a newgen 250 be a better starting plant. Throw a 300 crank and oversized 250 pistons in it and you would be better. The 250 seems to have alot better availability of parts then the 300.

Oh man, I'll have to see if I can find some good video of a local track here, The Ridge Motorsports Park. We have a downhill a lot like Laguna Seca's infamous down hill corkscrew. I've seen 4 -5 bikes wide through there and it's not nearly as wide as that pic! It's crazy!

Well, I can't find any at this moment of 4+ wide at the top but here's a ride around on a 250.

Link to original page on YouTube.

Since 300's are racing 250's I assumed it was on a practice day. Even still, If a 300 is allowed to race a 250, you should be allowed to run high compression pistons with a 300 crank in a 250 (it would naturally have higher compression from the longer stroke, so it would be a 110/e85 bike) add to that an efi conversion, ported head, and exhaust, it should smoke a 300.

Edit: You would also need COP, because the stock coils would not be able to handle that kind of compression.

@howlinhoss what times are you running now? We can coach you down to around 1:41. After that point it's all how much you want to push

Over the weekend I was working on lines through turn 2 and 6. This helped me consistently and comfortably run 1:48s all weekend. Had a best time of 1:47. This should be a good platform to start pushing incrementally for lower times.

That's a great place to start, I got the other guy we warmed up with luiz down to a 1:43 from a 1:46. Which is a competitive race time for the mid-pack battles
