Well, it took a good long time, which is perfectly normal when you use the best in the business. Renazco Racing returned my front and rear seats with exactly the mods I wanted. Front seat is +1" and taller in front, the rear is ready to coddle a passenger for days on end.

If you want one, you need to reserve a build date and ship them a seat before that date, and pre-pay. They build all the big name Dakar Rally bike seats, incredible quality and comfort levels you can't find on any stock motorcycle.

Sorry Alex, I've been on this guys seats for over a decade on everything from KTM Adventures to Husky 610s and KTM 525s. Nothing compares. I fully expect to be free of all seat issues and once they break in, super sweet.

Knock it without trying it if you want. Been there, done the cheapo self upholstered seats a long time ago. This is the best upgrade I made on any of my street ridden bikes so far.

what you are trying to say is you didn't have the motivation or skill to do the job well enough when you did. however, cost of doing the job remains the same regardless of who does it. spray on adhesive, extra foam, new upholstery properly sewn. (those in the photo you posted are straight wraps, not a fit, sewn piece like you get from custom seat creations for example) you are looking at $10 to $20 depending on materials.

All my other bikes HAD tapered steering head bearings bone stock!

If I had to choose the seats or the bearings, the bearings win out on the 300, no doubt. You gotta steer!

I have a friend who swears by Renazco seats on his dirt-bikes and dual-sports. I haven't heard as much about them for sportbikes.

Not their usual turf. I've known them for about a decade when I got my 03 KTM 950 Adv with an unbearable stock seat. I've had one modded for every bike I've had since then that saw any street duty beyond short sumoto stuff. This must be at least my 12th one they built.

Their adv/off road seats are incredible. I am sure this will be an impressive perch as well. Just in the garage it feels great already.

About $500 total for both with shipping. I know it isn't $10 but I've had these guys seats before, never questioned the price after my first one was delivered. Every one was worth it after 20k miles of comfort.

Truth be told, I am far more concerned about function, (it's a friggin Ninja 300!) over looks. After several hours in the saddle today I can say it was money well spent. A far cry from the stock pad. It feels like I will never think about it again while riding, which is exactly what I wanted. The stocker would start to kinda burn into your buns after 30 about minutes.

Is the stock seat on the 300s that bad? I'v never once thought the one on the 250 was anything but comfy.

The stock 300 seat was pretty bad IMO. Different folks have different preferences though, you gotta try it. I felt like I poked right thru to the base quite a bit and it didn't insulate you at all. Support was by the pan, the foam didn't do much. I'm 210, 6-01.

The grip is a little more than stock, the material looks like stock, but more grain/leathery. It is far thicker and higher quality that you can see and feel with your hands. I asked for a cover that looked "stockish". The last one I had on my 950SE had the carbon weave on the sides, orange stitching and this material on top. I'll try to dig up a pic. I didn't want stitching on this one. One less thing to be bothered with.
