Nice, just missing the "hobbit" on the bicycle seat to complete the hilarity!

Very inventive with the bike rack though. How did it ride with that thing on the back?

I has a bit of flex side to side because of the length so if your not smooth during slow speed cornering(@cyclecam303) it can start a tank slapper style speed wobble at 0-10 mph. This thing could be a great tool for teaching riders to be smooth with their steering inputs, because as soon as you jerk it'll make the rear end flex and in turn cause a feedback through the front end. I'm going to remake the long beam out of a much thicker gauge alloy tubing to stiffen it up and reduce the ease at which it flexes.

But as soon as you open the throttle and get it above 15mph all of the things mentioned above are none existant. The ass end of the bicycle moves a lot at speed but it with the moto's movement, kinda like how your rear shock only moves 2"but your rear wheel moves 6". Well it's the same idea but multiplied, if your motos seat swats 6" the bicycle rear wheel seats 18". This is where the tie downs on the handlebars of the bicycle come into play, they triangulate the load and reduce the vertical flex. If I could do the same with the horizontal load with a secondary point of attachment then I could also reduce the horizontal flex but I haven't thought of a way yet.

I rode the set 200 miles last Saturday for its maiden voyage and it work perfectly. Your 20mph side wind will feel like a 30mph side wind but winds never bother me like they do most riders. If you've ever worried about yourself being invisible to cagers while on your bike then you need this because no one misses you. The number on people that hover next to you for that extra 30 seconds just to get a picture of you is astonishing and at time annoying because I done like someone who's playing with their phone hovering next to me. When you go to get gas, park, pull up to a stop light or any other time your stopped you better expect people to ask you WTF or simply compliment your inginuity. Once I got to the Mtb race(that's where I was headed) the bike was never without someone inspecting it or taking pictures of it.

The extra drag from the bike being a sail reduced my mpg by an estimated 5-6mpg with was a lot but I'm still getting 4 times better mileage then driving the tundra.

Once I update the beam for more rigidity and reduce or fail at reducing the wobble I'll let you guys know.

Installed a Spiegler SS front brake line using the DIY found here. Easier install than expected. Great improvement in brake responsiveness. Will eventually upgrade the rear just to match the front

Shimming the needles this Sunday wish me luck!

Sorry, but I gotta ask: What kind of car can't one buy WeatherTech mats for? Do you drive a Studebaker? Or maybe a Rambler?

(Bought WeatherTech mats for wife and me Christmas 2012).

New front master cylinder and Vesrah pads for the front.

Since I was bleeding the front and had a freshly opened bottle of Motul RBF600 I decided to flush and bleed the rear, too.

Sad to say, but the Ninjette may be up for sale soon within the upcoming weeks.

Changed the oil, filter and raised suspension back to stock from previous owner having it lowered. Terrible idea lowering ur ninjette, handles so much better stock. Feels like a totally different bike

Rode mine close to 50 miles round trip. Did some minor upgrades (added zip ties where my lower fairings were broken). Washed it.

Finally mounted this LeoVince LV-One Slipon!

Had to undo welds to remove stopper ring on the exhaust pipe but otherwise it went rather well for a mon-mechanical dude like me.

Looks a lot better than the stock pipe, and is much lighter too. Don't want trouble with the Law now that I'm just about to get my full A License so the baffle is in.

Took a short ride, and it's not that much louder than stock, but it adds a nice bass growl, very pleasing to the ear and won't get annoying on longer trips.

All in all very happy with the purchase!

Well, the culmination of the last two days was;

Pullin all fairings off and cleaning them individually.
Air duster, wet rags/paper cloths, and toothbrushes cleaning the frame, engine exterior, exhaust, and odds and ends that were dirty.
Cleaning the chain with a tooth brush, solvent, and weather guard.
Oil change and fuel treatment.

Just in time for the lovely weather here in oklahoma sorry america

Whew, I assumed a different situation when I saw that (that you were tapped by a random cager and magically managed to stay on minus the broken fairing (no other damage sure does look odd))

That's all kinds of messed up though

on topic: wiped all the salt off and cleaned the chain, now using Automatic Transmission Fluid. There was a visible difference compared to normal @Motofool thank you man!
almost time to replace that layer of salt

1st fairing removal. Gas tank removal. Shimmed the needles. Snorkel delete.

Took off the fairings for the 1st time and shimmed the needles! Fairing removal was fairly simple. Gas tank was easy. The carb cover screws though. Wow what a pain! I had no JIS screwdriver so I just used a #2PH and pushed hard. I rounded out 2 screws that were extremely difficult to get to though. I used 2 washers each. Reconnected the gas tank and started her up. It sputtered and died! I somehow mounted the metal plate for the choke cable wrong. Small hiccup. Only problem I had was that I broke 2 plastic clips one on each side in the same place right in the front by the headlights. Luckily there is another clip and screw under it to secure them in place.

Overall, I'm very satisfied in this project. I was about to pay a moto mechanic to do this job too. I learned a lot about my bike and am now fairly confident in taking her apart and working on her myself. The bike definitely feels like it pepped up. Now I'm just waiting for my K&N filter to get here and hopefully that just adds to its newfound pepp

installed the 15T front sprocket and lubed the chain

have not ridden it yet but will see how she feels tomorrow and next week on the commute to work

it really should have been any easy install but was just one of those installs where nothing seemed to go well, part of the issue was that all my tools are packed in different places and boxes from moving so I didn't seem to have anything I needed including torque wrenches

and then felt like everything wouldn't snug up properly and just blahhhhhhhhh you know; one of those wrenching times. well either way its done so we should see what everyone is raving about lol

Firestone 805! It's a regional blonde ale around the 805 area code. I didn't know it was regional last time I was around here. I tried it, liked it, and then wondered why I couldn't find it anywhere haha.
