dont know if there's a thread for this yet. I just want to see what's the age range of everyone on here and how much riding experience you guys/ladies have.

im 27...riding for about 2 months (average twice a week) and i have about 500 miles. i used to dirt-bike for about 2 years.

edit* ah damn it...i forgot the set the poll option to allow multiple selections.

Max - I fixed the poll to allow multiple choices, but that means it did lose the few votes that were there already. I'm also going to move this to General, it's definitely on-topic and doesn't have to be here in off-topic.

/moved to general

Oh - I'm 37, have been riding for 11 years.

I just turned 23 yesterday and now I have a year and 8 months of street experience- 7 months of those being mostly track, and all of that totaling around only 10,000 miles (It'd be more, but I've scarcely touched a canyon since I started going to the track, so I don't go on as many long rides anymore). I just started riding dirt, so I now have about 2 days across 2 weeks (totaling probably 6 hours or so) of dirt experience. it's been raining like crazy lately, so I haven't been able to hit any OHV parks for a good 2 or 3 weeks now >_<

I often wish I had started sooner so I would be better and faster than I am now, but in a weird way, I'm also kind of glad motorcycles were something I got into entirely of my own volition when I was old enough to make that decision for myself.

47yrs young, got my license in 1983. Had to afew years off do to dirt biking injuries (dirt isn't that soft at 50+ mph) Decided to get back into street riding and picked the 250 to keep from get over my head to fast. Have a tendency to push the limits, when I try my buddies bikes,(600 & 1000) seem to have a hard time keeping it under 200kmph. So this way my bike reaches it's limits before I do and it's fun surprising other guys on bigger bikes once in awhile.

I'm 40 and had a MC license since 1986. I've owned and ridden everything from a Kawasaki LTD 250 single cruiser, to a Goldwing 1800 with a couple bikes in between. Also been an MSF instructor for 8 years.
My '08 Ninja 250 is scratching my racing itch for the moment and is all around a ton of fun.

I am 41 years old and have been riding on street since I was 15. So that is 26 years. I still own and ride my first bike a 1981 Honda CX500. I guess I have over 225-250k miles under my belt. A majority of those done on Goldwings * maybe 150k*. I don't consider myself a "great" rider as I know guys with much better skills than mine. I am still learning... and hopefully getting better.

I got my motorcycle license in 1982 and will be 60 next year. I've owned 4 bikes and the biggest one was a Yamaha Seca 400. Love small bikes and am considering swapping my Ninja for a CBR250R in mid-2011. If there are any left that is.

I'm 38 and starting riding on the street at age 20. I also had a dirt bike when I was a teenager. I did not vote on the experience level 'cause there's no option for me to select. I'm a veteran but it's not that I'm too cheap to get a bigger bike-I have one. I had the 650 first, and the 250 is the best second bike I could ever have!

22YO. Dirtbikes from Ages 10-17, commuting on bicycle til recently, and been riding the Ninjette daily for 7 Months today (brought it home the night of May 31st). And im at about 6k miles in this bike.

I got to ride a friend's 600 the other night, and actually got to get on it a bit. It was crazy fun, and I thought I'd be wanting that everytime I got on a bike, but that excitement has largely faded away. So, I think I'll still be content with the Ninjette for a while until I can legitimately afford to upgrade.

40 and riding since 1997. I've gone through a few bikes since then ('82 KZ440, '82 KZ750, '82 Yamaha Maxim 400, '97 Honda Nighthawk) and currently have a '94 Ninja 250, '98 Goldwing 1500 and a '99 Yamaha Razz 50cc scooter (actually the daughters scooter). I've done quite a few Iron Butt rides on my Goldwing and now sold Nighthawk. Longest ride I've done non-stop was the Great Lakes Challenge put on by TeamStrange out of Minneapolis doing 2500 miles in 48.5 hours around all 5 Great Lakes on my Nighthawk. I'm planning on another 2 week trip next July from Minneapolis to Seattle/ San Juan Islands. Did that 2 years ago and had a blast.

I'm 53. Been riding since '77. Got my first bike while stationed at Camp Lejeune, N.C.

Back then didn't know a cam lobe from an ear lobe but sure had a lot of fun biking.

Now I know these bikes like I knew my M-16...and I'm still having a lot of fun biking!

Ride the 250 because it gets me to work just as fast as my 900 but I don't have to fill the tank every other day like I do the Ducati.

I'm 36 and have been riding street 20 years. Have had 40 or so bikes so far, usually 2-3 at a time. I'm now down to riding the Ninja 250 full time as my only street bike... just sold my ZX14, HD Street Glide and Yamaha WR250X. This bike does it all and is very fun and cheap.

24, Took my MSF in September. It was my first time on a motorcycle. Put about 20 miles on my dad's '04 WideGlide, and purchased my '09 250 in mid October with 115 mi. on it. Got about 300 more miles on it before it was time to park it for the winter.
