New helmet: Scorpion Exo-500

I got these gloves about a month ago to replace a worn out pair of A*s GP+.: AGV Sport Raptor

Overall I'm really happy with both products. I got the helmet cause my RX-Q is starting to get worn out and I wanted a helmet with an internal visor. I already have a Scorpion dirt helmet and I really like it, especially the air pump fit system. I looked a lot of other helmets, and this one was the nicest one in the price range with the features I wanted.

The gloves were a nice alternative to the A*s for a good bit less money. They feel just as protective and fit the bill perfectly, and look really sharp too.

something small and simple but hoping for a bit more wind/engine noise reduction.

My local BMW shop. Sales dude said they just started carrying them about six months ago. Still haven't had a chance to test them, going riding this weekend and will give them a good workout.

They're nice, and fit in a lot easier than standard foam ones. The only downside is they get all ear-waxy so you need to clean them almost every ride

Sena 20s dual pack!

Sorry, I got back to you so late, but I did not forget! I've tested the vest out a couple of times, so far I'm not that happy. It isn't bulky at all, it fits rather nicely. It doesn't get as cool as I expected. I'm not sure if I'm doing it wrong with the water filling or not. I may have to keep trying. As an alternative, I've been soaking my LDCcomfort t-shirt, then putting the vest over that. Then it keeps my gear dry, etc. I did notice that on the sides of the vest, there is extra slack/room, so it doesn't have body contact/shirt contact. I noticed that when I cinched the sides I could feel the cooling effect much more because it had body/shirt contact. Maybe it's just not a good fit for me because I'm too skinny? I will keep testing it and report back if it improves.

My brother, I didn't get him anything for his birthday and I'm a few months late. Yeah, I'll have to learn how to use this thing and pair it. No more funky sign language to my brother.

Oh well, I guess.

I got a Bilt cooling vest but it doesn't fit under my "race" leather jacket. I'm thinking about picking up a BMW one as it looks less bulky. Track day coming up is going to be near 100.

I does dampen whatever you wear underneath. Since I always under armour type shirts, it's not annoying. Also the outside was kind of slimy the first time you wet it.

Once I get them inserted correctly I am really liking them.

In my noisy helmet, I can still hear a dull roar of wind noise, but can keep my audio volume down and still hear it.

In my quiet helmet, i can actually hear my bike up until about 40-45 mph, then the dull wind noise blocks the sound. The audio is way down and still can hear my music.

Rode home without them the other night and ARGHHH I was freaking deaf within 30 seconds. The difference between wearing them and not was incredibly loud.

The only thing I don't like is when I feel they are comfortably in, the stem is almost flush with the opening of my ear canal and it takes a bit to get a hold of it to pull them out again. I would think they don't have to go in that deep but there's no pain and I don't feel them so I don't think I am going too far. I also wish they had a cord between them so I could hang them around my neck at stops, but eh, the little canister thing is in my tank bag so I just pop them in there.

I still haven't done a back to back comparison with my cheap Ace ones, but I like them and they seem to be doing what I need them for.

Got another parts bike. It's a salvaged '09 EX250J. The dude cut the frame in half even though it was supposedly straight.

Oh well. I got it for what should have been the price of the engine alone, so I am not complaining.

Sweet looking bike @Roark, is that a steel blue or just the camera?

I just got my RoadID in the mail. Figured since I ride solo all the time, if anything should happen to me, it would be nice to have something on me for EMTs to access vital information about who I am. Especially if I am unconscious or unable to speak.

http://www.roadid.com/default.aspx

If you like me and feel like ordering through my referral link, it's here: http://RoadID.com/invite/4GWGH-TAFX92B3WK5

Just as quiet as the hondas (pic below), if not more quiet. We had a little honda and my the ryobi sitting side by side for comparison. I am extremely happy with the purchase so far. It also earned it's keep over the weekend at the track. It ran for nearly 2 days nonstop. Used less than 5 gallons of gas for nearly 48h run time. It's a little sipper.

1. More Techmount's, for the unused mirror holes.
2. Howard Leight LPF-1 Max Lite Uncorded Foam Earplugs.
3. Cortech 2.0 Tailbag

ok so now I am curious Chris. Can you do a full review? I have heard various reports of the this size units doing well running a set of warmers+ (hondas) and struggling with just the warmers (pretty much everything else). Where did you get it one sale for that price. At $399 it would be worth the chance.
